Wow. How much lower are these trucks then the 95-04 trucks?

That I dont know, but what I do know is an 05 can be lifted to 3" of suspension lift with a much lower CV angle than the previous Tacomas.

And 285/75/16s can stuff in the rear fenders with out modification unlike the previous years whos flares get thumped by the tire lugs.

I would get white or silver if you plan on 4x4 or offroading, any scratches and rubs will not show as much as a color or dark colors. I made that mistake with my first truck.

zpdsober- nice truck! I'm curious about your wheel setup. Are those 4runner wheels? Are they the same offset as the tacoma wheels (5")? Did you have to run wheel spacers so it wouldn't rub?

They are a 700$ option from the dealer that come on some Tacomas. They're called Baja alloys, you can buy them on the net from TRDparts4u. I got them for 200$ locally :kewl:

Well, if he is being sarcastic he should keep it on the off topic thread. :2cents:

"Do I need to get an alignment" is a valid and very important question, not only because of potential tire wear problems, but becuase of problems with handling when the alignment is out.

We were all noobs once, no point in being a jerk to a noob when you just lifted your truck. :2cents:

Dude i got the same problem...im pretty big and my 97 standard cab isnt all too comfortable...but everybody tells me that if i change the seats it wud be much better....my dad even says that the older tacoma seats weren comfortable..how do the new ones feel?

I'm 6'4 and coming from an 03 Taco the 05 seats are WAY, WAY BETTER and bigger. I need to figure out how to post bigger pics but here's my work in progress...

offtopic (sorry): Cedarbarn, are you running CB? HAM? whatever it is you're running, how do you like it? If it's CB, how is the reception? Which model do you have?

Here is a link to my Cobra CB install thread on Toyota Trail Riders.

It works great. IMO it is a necessary mod for every truck that drives offroad. Having been a trial leader at several offroading events for noob drivers it is essential for communication. Being a noob driver myself it is essential for me to hear the trail leader.... And it is a lot more fun on those long drives to the trail to BS with your buddies.

I'm pretty sure he was being sarcastic.... I hope :D .

hahaha, yeah I was :D

I got mine aligned after the COs went on but they couldn't do much as far as the camber goes. So I orded some UCAs they should be coming in soon. Hopefully they will fix the problem and allow them to get my truck into correct alignment.
