Formula Toy on Spike TV

Did any of you guys catch the Formula Toyota build on Spike's Exteme 4x4 or whatever at noon today? It was the first of 3 episodes where they are building the buggy. I watched the first 10 minutes at work and then a customer had to come in and bother me and I missed 15 minutes in the middle though...

They used an 82 longbed as a donor for the motor axle and trans/tranny. I would have rather seen them make that truck into a sweet crawler though, I love the first gens.

Still pretty cool to see that on TV though :thumbs:

yeah, they used a hendrix chassis and an lc engineering engine and an auto. had like a 140:1 crawl ratio w/ the auto first. i lost interest after they started telling me how they were the first people to use the auto adapter for toyota duals and the first to use the preset-up AA doubler.
