ok.....ive got a widetrac 44(about 64 wms).......im sure most of you have the regular waggy front axle(around 61? wms). Question is.......anyone know for sure if these two share the same shafts? from talking to different folx's i hear that the shafts for the regular waggys are made a ltitle long, so they could possibly share the same shaft with the wide trac.......anyone have any knowledge on this?
Thanks

I have a d44 from a 81-84 widetrack cherokee. About 64" wms and it doesn't use any of the waggy inner shafts. I have the stock shafts now but will need to measure the inner shafts and have some custom chromos possibly made. I think my driver side can use a 17.75" inner shaft. If that works when I replace the broken driver side, I may not have to order custom and just order already made shafts from different applications.

I've got a wide track and went with Moser for inner shafts. They make for whatever length you specify.

I just ordered a custom cut chromo inner short side for my wide track, 17.75". Long side was 34" I think, that was a lenght they had in stock. As for your question, no, a standard width waggy inner will not work on the short side, not sure about the long side.
