Im looking into getting Durabak so I can get the hell rid of my bedliner. Does anybody have experience with it? How much of a Pain in the Ass was it and Is it worth the money? PICS? Thanks in Advance
Later,...Rob
Ive got it, love it. Its held up very well and is definatley no slip. I would suggest a couple gallons of it for a full size bed. Prep and paint took me a day and then another to dry complete. Dont have any pics specifically of the bed, sorry.

Cool, how much did you have left after you did your DC Bed? How many coats did you put on? Im hoping to get 2 coats out of a gallon. What all came with the Durakbak Kit?
I baught a gallon and used it all. It is better to do about 3 or 4 thin coats, with about an hour or so between coats. I made sure I had the roller and 2 texture roll things from them. I baught a brush for the hard to get to places and youll need xylene (not sure of spelling) to thin and clean. I think I got away for under 120$ and thats with tape and all. Just be sure to tape everything real good and wear shirts and pants that you will not want anymore:) That stuff is damn sticky! Also, make sure you sand real good before applying and then wipe the bed down with the xylene and let it dry before as well. The stuff has worked great for me, plus its cheap to touch up if you have little left over. With the longer bed get 2 gallons, one wont be enough.
BTW I like the Durabak stuff so much Im gonna do my rocker panels in it too. Just ordered a gallon of black textured. If they come out the the smooth stuff in tan I might to the whole rest of the truck.

not sure about the consistency of durabak but one gallon of herculiner was only enough for two fairly thin it seems, coats on my x-cab. i fought the roller the whole first coat the second I just dabbed and jabbed at it all with the brush and it went smooth.

durabak is easier to apply than herculiner. Usually takes 3 to 4 thin coats to make the desired thickness. Just takes a roller and brush.
