Quality of Generic Replacement parts?

What is the quality of the generic replacement parts (non-oem) that are available?

i.e. from sites like: www.autopartswarehouse.com and www.car-stuff.com

I need a new grille and want to replace my headlights and corner lights. Might upgrade to an 01-04 front end if I spring for a hood.

If it's of any consolation, I ordered a replacement exhaust manifold from a random online parts store. It was cheap (but very nice), arrived quickly, and I haven't had a single issue with it. It even came with a lifetime warranty against defects.

You can always return the stuff if you don't like it, you'll just be out the cost of shipping and possibly restocking.

Have you looked into NOS (new old stock) panels from Toyota?
