Ok give some input...I can either get a locker or a snorkel...The locker would be real nice to help not get stuck and the Snorkel would be nice so I dont get water in air box again...I wish I could get both right now but...I can do one right now and the other in a couple of months or so ...Please give some ideas on what and why it would be better first...havin hard time with this one so I leave it to my friends to choose

Locker, but if you have a problem staying out of deep water the locker won't help, it will make it worse.

Locker but the only way my little Runner can more then some of the bigger 4wds is the Snorkle. So I'm torn, I'd get both.

Well you already ordered you locker which is what I would have done but I just wanted to point out the fact that the wet season will be here soon...and you already got your filter wet in the middle of the dry season! :eek:

I know...thats why I was havin hard time...I am pickin up over time for the next month so I hope to have a snorkel by midddle of march if all goes right...If not Ill stay in back and let Brian go first :rolleyes: but I should have it buy then

I do, That is one of the reasons for the diesel engine. I too still need a snorkle before I can go in water deeper than 40".

ok next time ill just ask if i should get a snorkel or a snorkel cause a locker wont help with the water in my air box AGAIN:doh: ,,Its all good motor still runnin but not great...I went out tonight and found a really great place...alot like ONF...I got to this one hole and got less water than last time but was runnin bad this time..Then on the way out I got stuck in a hole... water seeped in as I waited to get winched out,, now I have to take carpet out...It was blue now it's black...Some guy got a pic of me sittin on my hood:shiner: so Ill post it as soon as he sends it...Had to climb out window cause water was well over sliders....ANY WAYS THANKS FOR THE LOCKER IDEA:xmoon: J/K Ill just have to try and get it sooner..>Its all good,,, just thought i would share my nite tirp that was all of 20 min long:D

Tim I've been thankful of my snorkle so many times out in ONF I can't count them all. I've hydro locked the 4.0 in my old Ranger back in Az and ever since then I've always said I'll have a snorkle. At the last camp out I had the water over the hood and I had to sit there while Drew pulled me out and the only thing that I noticed the water hurting was the clutch would disengauge underwater.

It will be the next thing I get ASAP...2 times and this one scared me...I talkd to Neil and told him about it...Mis fire stallin no power ect( but no water in my oil) was way to close to a hydro lock for me..There wont be a 3rd time cause it's not gettin on any trails till I have one

You can still hydro lock you engine and have no water in oil, had it happen. Water dosesn't compress and bent TWO rods on the Ranger and the oil was water free.

Still going to have one even when I sas mine...Just to much water in this state not to...From what I was told buy the guys I went out with there is A LOT of wheelin spots around me...Will have to find out more ...The one I went to tonight was like 15 mins from my house...But till I get my snorkel it's pavement for now:(
