havent been on here for a while except just to brows around since i got rid of the wheeler i had.. moved for school to san diego and now drive a 2wd 84 stock efi and yes its really an 84, auto THAT I NEED A NEW ONE OF AS OF YESTERDAY so if neones got one let me know pls... gets 28 mpg... ne way to the point... picked up a taco...

2001
V6
70k miles
5spd
TRD
SR5
Sunroof
all that jiberish that comes with them

frame is jacked so i need to find an 01-04 frame. truck was actually taken care of pretty well before the accident.. mud flaps and everyhtign are armoraled, interior is spotless, the stock radio is just sitting on the floor. Plan on swapping it all over with a SAS, would really like to get an FJ80 axle but need a deal to be able to afford it... looking more towards the diamond housing. dauls and all that regular junk. new frame and some man hours and ill have a really nice truck... and waht i paid for it and what it will cost to fix is nowhere neer what a truck like that goes for. gonna finally try to have a truck taht will go to the trail at the speed limit and in comfort... this will be the tear down, rebuild, then build, then wheel thread for this truck... money is gonna be the bigest challenge in this since im going ot school full time and dont have unlimited reasorces that some ppl get lucky and fall into. picked it up out of Portland oregon so i left san diego wed night and drove all the way up picked it up and got back saterday.. pretty fun but i must say the old hiney is a lil sore today..

Damn, that's one hell of a hard hit. I'd be suprised if the cab is still good. I hope you only paid a few hundred.

r u kidding me? if you ever find a taco for a few hundred let me know and ill pay to have it shipped. the cab is fine.. did you look at the pics? all the doors still open and shut perfectly... i need a front core support and a fender to fix the body...

Depending on who you get a total from, you'll only have too pay around 6-7 hundred. The damage to the cab that I'm refering too is damage to the floor (where it sheared from the frame.) That's where I could possibly foresee cab damage. Anyways, not trying to rain on your parade. I hope it turns out well for you.

Awesome pick up. An 03 rolled taco 4x4 down here in Louisiana went for $2600 at the insurance auction. Thats the lowest I've ever seen a totalled tacoma go for.

Nice find IMO. Gotta love body lifts

yea the body lift is what saved this ones body buy letting it just shear off and slide over instead of rip the floor apart...

Boy that sure brings back memories..... Recent memories...

I've been watching tacos go at salvage auctions, and "NEVER" seen one go for a couple hundred. Even the reg cab 2WD ones go for a few thousand... I bought mine for $7200. but it only had 833 miles on it. Still smells like a brand new truck too...

yea this one is actually the cheapest one ive ever seen.. the bulk of them sell for upwards of seven like you say... ive seen "a couple" trashed ones go for mid fives to mid sixes on a good day but i got an excelent deal on this one...
