if you havn't jumped out of a plain or bungee jumped then man you need to. with BASE jumps it takes a lot of balls as sploosh stated to make the first jump. thats why im trying to get to halo school.

ain't that the truth. but something bout jumping from 25,000 feet with an O2 mask and a side arm and 40lb ruck just sounds like more fun.

It's a hard one to get unless you're Corp LRS, SF, or Delta.

I tell you what, go to jump school first and then you can decide if you dig the airborne thing. I had to close my eyes every jump I've ever done. I hate heights. Now SPIES is fun, where you hang on rope under a Blackhawk as it flies around, but jumping scares the hell out of me.

i love jumping out of planes.skydiving is one thing i do a lot in the summer, and SPIES sounds fun. i used to be scared of heights and then one summer it just went away and nothing really phased me. i love repelling to now that is fun...fast paced, very quick.

So are you still waiting to go to AIT? Didn't you already go to basic and are waiting till you graduate for the rest?

Have you gone and repelled up on Mt. Yona? That is a really nice place to go. I went up there for a week last summer and had a blast. I did a 200 foot, but i believe that they have some that are bigger than that.

no i made it through AIT the real reason is that when they originaly did my contract, they messed it up big time and put me somewhere instead of 11b. then they straightned that out and now there having troubles with all the schools i requested. they told me to put down three advanced schools (exp like airborne) and i put down Airborne-Ranger-SF school well i started to go through Airborne, and then the 1st week they pulled me out and said it wasn't on my contract and it really was. now im starting to get pissed because its been around since September when they pulled me and ive just been sitting idle not attached to anything. its like im just there. now there finaly admitting it that they royaly screwed up witch almost gave me a heart attack. Ive just been sitting in school waiting for them to stop playing w/themselves and let me go back. now there thinking about sending me to a Recon school becuase of my marksmenship and its just really f'ed up. i don't think i can stand 20-30 yrs of this crap man. i could really probably just leave and get a real job and they'd never know :D. ill probably jsut end up being a GD reservest or NG.
But i really blame myself because the people i was dealing with i just had a bad feeling about them and had the chance to take it to someone else but didin't.
just gonna wait and see i guess.

Sending you to a recon school because of your marksmanship? What does recon have to do with shooting? LRSLC (well now its RSLC) is the only reconnaissance school I know of on Ft. Benning. Used to you had to be Special Forces or ranger qualified to go to it. I don't know now.
