Hi everyone!
I had my truck detailed and they cleaned up the engine bay. Now my heat and AC do not work.
1. Fan works
2. No lights for AC button and recirc button when they are pressed.
3. No hot air blows when switched that way.

I checked all my fuses but they look ok. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas?

I am driving a 2002 Tacoma.

Thanks for any help!

Try the ground wire on the battery where its grounded to the inner fender. Tighten it if needed, mine was loose and caused my AC not to work. Hope it helps.

Thanks for the tip. But no go. The ground wire is firmly attached. I did notice a Heat relay in the main fuse box under the hood. Anyone ever have problems with this relay? I am going to buy one and see if it helps. It might be snow tomorrow. Going to be a cold ride to work! :D

check your relays and fuses under the hood..... make sure everything looks good and its not waterlogged or something like that. they probably decided to clean it with a pressure washer which is kinda a bad idea...

All the fuses and relays look good. I gutted my dash last night to look at the 'climate control box' thinking it may have gotten water logged. All looked ok. I have an appt with Toyota. Hope this does not cost me too much!

Well Toyota was able to diagnose and fix the problem. I hope I word this right. It was the 'AC/Heat control board'. Behind the HVAC controls are two circuit boards that control HVAC. One had a bad component. Replace and all is well.

$272.00 just for the part!

Toyota is certainly proud of some of those parts. I spent $36 on a stock radio antenna. And the IAC is $150+, so yeah, but dang, can't get along without it now can yah?

Where is that control board located? Behind the dash or under the hood?

bump to that... I still can't believe I am giving Dan a stock radio for his 2002 Taco. Those things run well over a grand, well atleast we'll be able to listen to music again on our trips

Hee, hee... for a second there I thought you said you had a radio IN your freezer... :D But yeah, that would really suck... then we'd be out of everything, including listening to whatever radio station we can possibly pick up on the trail... ;)
