What part # or travel for the longer bilsteins?

alanbobalan
03-08-2006, 08:59 PM
here are the part numbers for the bilsteins:

front bil: 0603BE5-6582-H5 (engraved on the bottom of the shock)

rear bil: F4-BE5-6583-H5 (on a sticker on the shaft)
0503BE5-6583H5 (engraved on bottom)

i'm assuming the part numbers are the same for both front shocks and the two numbers for the rear are the "right" and "left" shocks.

80 dollars per leaf spring takes them. i think 75 dollars per pair for the shocks is more than reasonable. that's like half price.

tell me about it man. it's amazing how much research it can take to make sure your rig gets built "the right way"... but well worth it when you're finished.

BOUGHT THE SPRINGS AND SHOCKS, shocks are not 6mo old. the ones i bought from him were also damaged. i picked them up and saw the boot ripped on one. i asked him about it. he says "rats must of gotten to it" and assures me not to worry and the shock is perfectly fine. i go home and take the boot off, turns out the rod is trashed. don't buy anything from this guy. BUYER BEWARE. alanbobalan will lie to sell his stuff.

i can easliy go to his house to handle this matter but i don't do that stuff anymore. but if i see you do this to another person, expect to see me in your living room.

eightyfive is making false accusations and is acting like a little girl. i still have seen no evidence of what he's claiming.

i picked them up and saw the boot ripped on one. i asked him about it. he says "rats must of gotten to it" and assures me not to worry and the shock is perfectly fine. i go home and take the boot off, turns out the rod is trashed. don't buy anything from this guy.

there were never any defects with the shocks while i owned them. the hole in the boot could have been anything. they were sitting in my garage for a long period of time and off the top of my head i said maybe rats chewed a hole in it? or maybe it's just a USED SHOCK BOOT? but really... how am i supposed to know what's wrong with the dumb boot? i never took it apart. honestly, how was i supposed to know? (if what he claims is even true, i still have seen no proof to convince me of any defect, only his accusations.) he could have backed out when he saw the boot, but he still chose to purchase the shocks. so why is this my fault? but the bottom line is: i was unaware there was any defect with the shocks at the time of the transaction.

i never said the "shock was perfectly fine." all i saw was a hole in the stupid rubber boot and i didn't see how a torn boot would result in loss in shock performance. (fyi- i am not qualified to even diagnose whether the shocks are good or bad. i am a total noob.) if he wanted a perfect shock and a flawless transaction, he should have bought a brand new set of shocks instead of private party internet classifieds.

BOUGHT THE SPRINGS AND SHOCKS, shocks are not 6mo old.

perhaps this was a miscommunication. i never claimed the shocks to be 6 months old. all i said was that they were on my truck for roughly 6 months. if he wanted to know how old they were, he should have asked.

on top of all that, the shocks were sold in USED condition. alot of times items that are USED might show a little wear. i sold shocks and springs to him for a fraction of what i paid for them. i was more than fair and even came down on the price because he was complaining about gas to drive here (when that's really his problem not mine). then he shows up with LESS THAN what we had originally agreed on as far as the price went. it was a total joke, but i sold them to him anyway.

if anyone is a "bad" seller or buyer here, it's eightyfive. he will take every negative thing about you and try to rape you for a lower price. then he will post it all over the internet. he's the one being sketchy. i was just trying to be as fair as possible. maybe i did make a mistake and if i did, this guy gave me NO chance to correct things. he just demanded his money back and threatens me.

this guy is acting like it's the end of the world and is the sketchiest buyer i have ever done business with. PM me and i will gladly set things straight. i will be investigating the front shocks to see if there are any defects and i will post my findings. if a defect is found i will take them down and not sell them or discount the price.

for everyone's information, i parted out a whole entire truck from bumper to bumper and eightyfive is the only unsatisfied customer i have ever had. he is blowing this whole thing way out of proportion and needs to take his gossip back to high school where it belongs.

here is proof that eightyfive is a sketch:

i can easliy go to his house to handle this matter but i don't do that stuff anymore. but if i see you do this to another person, expect to see me in your living room.

correct me if i'm wrong, but this almost sounds like a threat. i hope the forum administrators read this. this is the guy you don't want to do business with.

BUYER BEWARE. alanbobalan will lie to sell his stuff.

this guy is a lunatic and should stop blowing this out of proportion.

the springs and shocks came off an 87 4runner that was rolled and had a million other horrible things happen to it (long story).

*EDIT: if mr eightyfive had read this entire thread, he would have known that he was buying shocks off a rolled 4runner. it states the truck was rolled in the VERY first post on this thread.

i think i proved my point. goodnight.

eightyfive is making false accusations and is acting like a little girl. i still have seen no evidence of what he's claiming.

there is no need for name calling, son.

(if what he claims is even true, i still have seen no proof to convince me of any defect, only his accusations.)

i will post pictures this weekend, i go to school and work nights.

he could have backed out when he saw the boot, but he still chose to purchase the shocks. so why is this my fault? but the bottom line is: i was unaware there was any defect with the shocks at the time of the transaction.

yes, i could of backed off BUT YOU ASSURED ME THAT THE SHOCKS WERE FINE, and that it's only rats that got to them. i trusted you. i FIRMLY stated that i dont care about the boot, i am MORE WORRIED bout the rod underneath. this is when he assures me nothing is wrong but only rats eating the boot. so, in short, i made the problem clear to you, and you said it WASN'T A PROBLEM.

(fyi- i am not qualified to even diagnose whether the shocks are good or bad. i am a total noob.

funny you say that now. when i was over there at his house, he was telling me about MY truck, making recomendations, and even advising me what to buy.

perhaps this was a miscommunication. i never claimed the shocks to be 6 months old. all i said was that they were on my truck for roughly 6 months. if he wanted to know how old they were, he should have asked.

i specificly asked you "HOW OLD ARE THE SHOCKS?", then you say, "I BOUGHT THEM AND HAD THEM ON MY TRUCK FOR 6 MONTHS, THEN I ROLLED IT. THEY'VE BEEN SITTING IN MY GARAGE LONGER THAN I HAD THEM ON MY TRUCK" you were advoiding my question (bad seller?) or you answered my question stating that the shocks are 6months used.

then he shows up with LESS THAN what we had originally agreed on as far as the price went. it was a total joke, but i sold them to him anyway.

i miss counted my money before i got there. we agreed on me paypaling you the $10. you even said it was only $10 and not really a big deal! you are being contradicting!

i was just trying to be as fair as possible. maybe i did make a mistake and if i did, this guy gave me NO chance to correct things. he just demanded his money back and threatens me.

i PM'd you before posting anything....you replied that i got a good deal and you won't give me my money back. i never demanded, i stated that i think i should get my money back.

this is the first PM i wrote him after i bought it.

alan,

i took off the ripped boot today, the rod has deep scratches on it... i think it's going to affect the performance.

then he responds.

you know what, i'm real sorry. i don't have any proof of the defect and you could have backed out when you saw the boot.

on top of that i sold them to you so cheap that you're lucky i even sold them to you. it was a fair deal. 200 bucks was a steal, then you show up 10 dollars short.

it's a done deal. you're lucky i even chose to do business with you.

goodbye.

-alan

keep in mind, i never threatened him. then i PM'd him again. he oviously doesn't want to settle this.

i think i should get my money back, you sold me a defective shocks by passing it off as 6month old shocks...

jeff

as you can see, i never demanded. then he emails me back saying that you can't just return something after you buy it.... my reasoning is, we had a verbal contract of him stating that the shocks were FINE and that nothing is wrong with the rods. i email him back.....STILL NO THREATENING.

yea, i could of backed out but you kept assuring me that nothing is wrong, "looks like rats got to it" (ring any bells?) i will be warning others about alanbobalan. i could easliy just go to your house and handle this, but i won't.

a steal? i bought the package mainly for the shocks, and it turns out that the shocks are crap. (6months old?, fuckin bull shit). BAD SELLER.

this guy is really making me mad now.

alanbobalan

ok, you know what? even if i did mess up, i'm not perfect and i had no idea the shocks were defective when i sold them to you.

i had no friggen clue. all i saw was a torn boot and i didn't see how that would hurt anything. then when you got home, you took the boots off and (MAYBE i still have seen no proof) there was a defect. i'll wait until you post pics.

maybe i went a little overboard, but you pissed me off really good.

i don't think one bad transaction makes me a bad seller. you just blew EVERYTHING out of proportion. this could have been handled so much better, but you had to tell the entire TTORA forum about it and all you did was piss me off.

maybe i messed up, but you're still acting like a little girl about it. we could have fixed this, but you didn't even give me a chance. next thing i know, my name is all over the forum about how i'm a horrible seller because i had one bad transaction. that right there, sir, is why i have been angry with you.

i am not going to say any of this again.

maybe i'll be willing to work with you if you apologize to me and the rest of this forum and take back all the negative feedback. forget everything i said about the shocks, you didn't give me anytime and you didn't show me any proof before you made negative posts regarding me and our transaction.

there is no denying it, you gave me NO chance and showed me NO proof of the defect before announcing to the entire forum what a horrible seller i am.

show me pics, and MAYBE i'll cooperate and we can get this fixed. i'm still pissed off at you, but i'm not going to hold a grudge. next time just try not to be so stupid about it. maybe try contacting me and showing me EVIDENCE before you go about making my experience on TTORA a complete living hell.

now, PM me and perhaps MAYBE (if you aren't being a little prick) we can fix this.

after thinking about it.

i have every right to not refund your money.

and you pissed me off good enough that i don't think you're going to get it back. i just plain don't like you. i didn't like you from the start.

i am closing this thread and i am resigning from ttora. you are completly full of crap and making accusations and not showing any proof of your claims.

it's not my fault you drove down here and bought the shocks, it's yours. you inspected the shocks and you could have taken the boot off before you left if you were that concerned. SO STOP BLAMING ME.

you came here, you paid for them, you left, the shocks are yours, stop your bitching.

you can run, but you can't hide. make this right before i show the whole 4x4 world your address. again, you don't even want to deal with the problem. go ahead, run away, and get a new name. it just shows that i am RIGHT. i have no reason to spoil my name and no reason to hide.

in 2 days, your address will be on every forum i am signed up on. YOU are a very bad seller and by RESIGNING you are also very guilty. in fact, i dont even want to look at your face, or hear your words with my ears. PAYPAL ME FOR THE SHOCKS, there is nothing wrong with the springs, AND I WILL SHIP YOU YOUR CRAP SHOCKS. and just to staisfy you, i WILL SHOW YOU PICTURES. you have2 days, thats final.
