Posted this on TS.com but thought I would post it here too. Not enough posts in TTORA's Tundra Section.

After 150K miles with my tacoma, I just want a freaking truck I can bond with. Another truck that ALWAYS starts when you want it to, and doesnt need to be in the shop.

I walk out to my truck after class tonight. Its been sitting for maybe 4 hours. Its 25 degrees out, so cold but not that cold. I get in put the key in ignition and turn. There was an f250 sitting next to me with his motor running so I didnt really notice that my truck didnt start. I thought it was running so i put my books in back seat like always do, to give the truck a few min to warm up.

I get in and the tach is sitting at like 50 rpm and all the dash lights are on, and I mean ALL OF THEM. So i shut the key off and everything shuts off. I try again and the same thing happens. I still have the F250 next to me so i cant really hear if the engine is running, but i can feel somthing happening when i turn the key. Almost like the starter is turning the engine but its not catching and its having a REALLY hard time turning. I try two more times and the same thing. I hit the headlights to see if my battery is dead and its bright as normal. I try starting it with the headlights on, they dim slightly but not to the point that the battery is complety drawn down or somthing.

I try a few more times and figure crap. I start digging through the rubbage in the back of the truck to find the 24hr service number only to realize that its sitting at home because I just got the truck back from the dealer the day before. I try a few more times and nothing. I sit there for maybe 5 minutes trying to figure out my plan of attack and then I try it again. It starts but it ran really rough, like it was on 3 cyl or somthing. Then it smooths out and starts running like normal, only a little rougher than usuall.

I drove it home and no CE light. I got it back from an Oil change yesterday, so I checked the oil and it was fine.

Any ideas? Back to the shop it sounds like.
