Hey there, I am assuming that you did not receive my e mail right after you ordered that I was awaiting a new batch :)

I know that I received an order for someone who was going to send a check, however, I have not seen that as of yet.

Either way, I should have those meters soon, not sure what the hold up is???

On a different note, those of you who have submitted your mailing information should be receiving your packets soon...The names are being forwarded to them in groups so that the BLM can send them out as bulk.

If you need a permit and have yet to send the information, please send it to michael@xtremeoff-road.com and I will put you on the list.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hey there Brian, I will look, there were two orders, one in which the individual was going to send a check, and another one which used a credit card...I think I found was the delay was...the items were shipped to our old address, and seem to still be there

Guess I will make a trip over there to see if they still have them or what in the world happened to them.

I'm not sure that the motels have been contacted yet to try to get a good rate.

Last time it was all camping. Except for Robert Cannon, He stayed at a hotel. We are going to try and see if we can get some discount rates for people wanting to stay at a hotel, But I do have to warn. At that time around here prices can be a little high.

I am trying to get my rig in proper shape, and have a few questions:

1) Is it day trips on the trail, or multi-day? My spare tire lives in the bed of the Heep, and if we are going to be multiple days on the trail, then I need to build my spare tire carrier by then so that there will be more room inside the rig for gear.

2) Assuming day trips, how far from the staging area to the trailhead? I'll almost certainly have a CO2 bottle by then to air up, but am still curious how much street pounding I should plan on dealing with.

3) How strict are the local authorities on 100% street legality? I have the basics, but currently lack fancy things like turn signals, horn, high beams, speedo, reverse lights, center and right mirrors....well, you get the picture.

Thanks, John

Hey John, hope you had a good xmas, all things considered.

doubt there will be multi-day trips. last yr ther eweren't any.

if camping, the only time you'll need to drive onthe street is for fuel, ice, food drinks etc. the trails are accessable from dirt from camp site to trailheads. for the store/gas station-probably won't air up they are close.

you might be eligable for a fix-it ticket w/o mirrors. turn signals can be done by hand. reverse light they wouldn't even see unless they see you backup.
way too many vechiles out here that appears the brake lights are disconnected and hardly get stopped for that.

LMK if you have more ????

I am assuming from your response that the tow rigs would then be parked at the campsite?

If motel'ing were chosen, about how far from the motel to the staging area [campsite]?

Sorry for the volume of questions; just trying to get a feel for the local logistics, so that I don't inconvenience the rest of the group.

Robert should be able to tell you how far from motel to camp. If we're at differnt camp area then the motels in Florance might be closer.

TTORA run, last yr we had ~50 rigs (guesstimate) this yr sounds like we'll be having more.
