These are the trail runs that we have planned for the upcoming summer. We tried to get a good mix of everything in there. I am also trying to figure out a good place that we can have meet and greets at every month that is more or less central to everyone. Hooters at 120th is great but i realize that its a little far north for some people. Ive also put in a link to Trail Damage (http://www.traildamage.com/). I like the site better as it gives you a better up front feel to the trail as well as good scale and breakdown of difficulty.
May 20th (Saturday) Slaughterhouse (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=2)
June 2nd (Friday Night) Lefthand Canyon (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=6)
June 10th (Saturday) Chinawall (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=61)
June 25th (Sunday) Blanca/ (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=112)Medano Peak (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=53)Camping Trip
July 15th (Saturday) COTTORA Swap Meet
July 30th (Sunday) Spring Creek (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=36)
August 4th ( Friday) Kingston (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=14)Night Run
August 12th Saturday ( Club Picnic) Kingston (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=14)
August 20th (Sunday) Holy Cross (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=11)
September 9th (Saturday) Jenny Creek (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=17)
September 24th (Sunday) Coney Creek (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=15)
We picked 2 night runs on fairly easy trails so that we could all still do the trail no problem but make things more of an adventure. Also we tried to not have all the runs on a saturday or a sunday... hence everything.

Just an FYI,
It seems that some of those links are broken.
Specificly these ones:
Slaughterhouse
Lefthand Canyon
Chinawall
Blanca
( Club Picnic) Kingston (the first Kingston works)
Try these ones:
Slaughterhouse (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=2) Slaughterhouse Gulth? is that the correct one?
Left Hand Canyon (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=6)
China Wall (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=61)
Blanca Peak (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=112)

well uhhh thats why it says denver region on the top lol. and actually we did 3 runs in each of the other regions HC, China wall and Kelly flats. Guapo is the man to talk to for getting runs organized for that side of things more because he knows the trails better.

Okay,
bare with me on this one. is this the schedule for summer of '09?
I spent 08 in Iraq, I am coming home soon and really looking to hit some trails I realize it might be early but so excited about getting back.:D :xcrazy:

Nope, noone has posted anything for 09 as of yet.
If 08 is any indication, the runs will be planed a week or so in advance, with a few having more planning. cannt do much more than that with the weather/snow unperdictability in this state.

Thanks,
Even with the unpredictability of the Colorado Mountains I look forward to getting out and about.
I will even bring a shovel and hatchet to try and clear some of the trails that are plugged with snow and tress that might have fallen over the trail …..I’ll even load up the chain saw.

Welcome home, to Colorado and the USA. When you get back check out the Plan a trail run forum. (http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=127) There usualy is a trail run every weekend. And of course there is the Moab Takeover 09. (http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116496)

that looks like fun, not sure if the dates will work, no pun intended but are those dates carved in stone?
I'll have to keep an eye out, I've driven past moab but never been to moab. I would certainly like to go and check it out. If it all pans out I should be able to get my skids.

When will you be back?
I'm sure there will be a Moab run in the fall/winter too.

I'll be back back late next month, that isn't the problem. My wife's b-day is 29 May. No worries I will keep watching and get out there when I can.
Like was stated above keep an eye on the plan a trail run folder. Almost every weekend of the wheelable year there is at least one run going on in the state. Unfortunately they are usually planned in that folder sometime the week before. Hope to see you out on the trails in 09

Mike - looking forward to having you home and meeting you. We will be snow bashing this winter, so do join us then. Where do you live in c-rado?
Ask us about "clearing trails" sometime. 6 guys and shovels to get through a pass... LOL
