NO way unless you are getting out of wheeling. Think how you would beat up that dodge at Tellico and how huch it would spend in the shop.

i thought about that, and i obviously wouldn't be abe to go alot of places i can go now but i barely get to go as it is. i'm gonna get WAY more than my truck is worth and my payment would be like $27 dollars more a month.

that is what i was thinking. the wife dosen't want me to do what i really would like to do to the taco and other than wheeln' it, the taco isn't very useful for towing or hauling the way it is now.

dude, like stomper said, get the power wagon. it has a 12,000 lbs. warn winch, electric lockers, bfg a/t's, the list goes on. here is the fourwheeler magazine write up on it.

the powerwagon does have some few cool things on it...like the electric disconecting sway bar...it comes factory with lockers, winch, and skid plates everywhere, and are those rock sliders i see?...not bad...

hey sammy, to you regret trading in your taco for the z71? it will be some time before i'll be able to buy a trail rig.

the votes are getting close guys!!!! i'll throw one more thing out there: i drove it home and back to the dealer the other day and could only get 10.5 mpg according to the truck display and i was driving at around 50-60 most of the way, not too much stop and go. taco gets around 16 as it is.

Yeah and its a full size so its going to cost you twice as much for the same number of fill ups with those kind of numbers.

I voted for the Powerwagon but didn't think about gas prices. Stay with the Taco. That Powerwagon will run you broke paying for gas.

Nope. My only regret is not getting a 2500 HD but the Z tows everything I have at the moment. For me, a fullsize was the only way to go. I loved the Taco but having it as a trail rig/daily driver wasn't for me. Pounding the sh*t out of a $25k truck just didn't make sense to me anymore.
10.5 MPG is crazy though. I can get 16 MPG in the Z71 and that is about what I got in the Taco.
Good luck bro.

thanks for the responses guys, looks like i'm keeping the taco. filled her up yesterday and it cost $42! the pw has a 34 gallon tank so at $3 a gallon it would be about $90 everytime i fill up, no f@@@@way!!!!! 70 miles a day minimum at 10.5 mpg, i can't afford that.

Re-gear and you will save even more $$$ of fuel. Plus you can drive over the hills near your house without holding the gas peddle to the floor.

That's what a gas powered dodge will get ya....hurt feelings and a very thin wallet. I had a 2000 Ram 1500 with a 3.9L V6 and got 13 mpg. It pulled any and everything that got thrown at it....but she was a thirsty little hooker.
Oh, it'd ONLY be $90 a week to get you back and forth to work.
70*5=350
350/10.5=33.33333
You'd might be lucky to squeeze by on a full tank a week just for work
And I know you've already said that you're keeping the Taco, but hey, I'm bored :D

i was all power wagon until i saw the gas post. gas is terrible. even with my taco getting around 18-19 highway (i think) i go through a tank every 4-5 days for work (100 miles round trip each day). its terrible!
