looking for trails to run this summer that make a weekend trip (aka camping)..

all the guys i wheel with have no sliders/ lockers except me...
but we are all on 33s
so i need something doable with open diffs i guess..

is hacket/longwater open yet?

Hey Matt - welcome to the board. Ya know Will (Tat2dguy) was telling me about a cool trail near the sand dunes for camping... maybe he'll chime in!

Kingston Peak and Jenny Creak up near rollins pass (Boulder area) also are great trails for open open stock vehicles with great camping.

i could probably wheel a 6-7 rated trail..
(based on what ive done in the past)

what do you guys think knowing i have no sliders

depends on the acceptable amount of damage ur willing to take on

If you’re looking for something close to the Springs, Head up Old stage road about 14 miles and then find a trail to turn off on. If it gets too tough as you go up, you can always turn around, that’s what I do. (I run stock Height TRD)

Road 370C is Eagle Rock (it will be a bit tuff without lockers, but there are a lot of connecting trails that are not too bad.)

Road 370D is Saran Wrap (Not a bad trail, will be tough without lockers, but an open/open buddy of mine made it a ways up yesterday)


Over all trail ratings are subjective, so you kind of need to go out and try them out for yourself. But obviously a 9 or 10 rating no matter how subjective is going to be too much for a stock truck.

both are fun and have been done open diff...takes a bit more aggressive and precise driving skill though...

wouldn't mind going up that way (gotta knock out the honey-do list first)

its like an hour or so just to get to the eagle rock trailhead..... plus playtime and doing a trail.
