I'm having F-ing cooling problems again. I trimed too much off of my new fan and now I have a pin hole in it. It happened Tues. night and I put a couple of tbs spoones of black pepper in it for a temp fix. Which seems to be holding up good with no leaks. My stock temp gauge isn't worth a crap, its sit at half all day and then it'll jump all the way over to H and scare the shat out of me. I can't run my fan on high cause I don't have my 75amp relay yet. It seems to only overheat with the A/C on so I think when I wire up the HIGH speed for A/C use it'll be fine besides for the black pepper pluging the pin hole. I ordered a Autometer Temp gauge, Bosch 75amp relay, and two Bosch 50amp relays. I'm tried of this problem and I want it fixed. Anyone know of a good Rad. repair shop in Jax or should I just leave the pepper in there?

How old is the radiator? If it hasen't been replaced yet, replace it with a Modine or some good brand. Should only be $140 bucks or so.

You could have plugged tubes causing your problem.

Try to get the largest capacity you can.

Its a brand new Rad., I had to get a new one after my wreck back in Sept. I only paid $110 for it and its all metal, not plastic like the ones you get from Auto Zone. I think that with the High Speed on while the A/C is one should fix the problem. I'll have to wait till Mon to find out.

I got a all metal one from a local rad shop here in tampa for $120ish. I got a ford type fan wired on LO to a Flexalite fan controller so you don't need a relay system. heres the part:

$80 and it works great. I have one in my truck and 1 in our Supra.

How long have you had the fan controler? Cause I had one (same part #) left over from my old Black Magic fan and it only lasted about a month before ampage draw burnt it up.

The small pepper plugged hole Rad I had now has a BIG hole from the back yard bash. So I bought a new rad from pepboys for $150. I also got a Bosch 75amp relay for high and a 50amp relay for low. I also have a new temp gauge on the way cause the stock gauge should even be called a gauge. I've had it run HOT a few times and the damn gauge never got over half, scary. The AC condensor had a lot of dirt/mud packed in it, so I cleaned it out which should allow more air flow to the Rad.

i've had my variable fan controller for about 3yrs on my truck. the one on our supra has been on there since christmas roughly. No problems with either. I love those things.
