Paint the deck plate?

I'm about to do the deck plate mod (finally) and was only able to find it in white. I wanted to make it black so that it won't be as obvious whenever I have to have something looked at under the hood. I was wondering if it'd be okay for me to paint the white deck plate, black. If so, is there any special type of spray paint I should use so I don't foul a sensor or anything? Thanks!

Paint it glow in the dark!

I am sure any rattle can stuff will work. If you are worried about it not sticking, use some fine grit sand paper to scuff it up a lil bit.

wow. that was a quick reply. i found out that krylon has a spray paint made just for plastics so i won't have to go through all the steps. thanks brian!
