Kelly Flats/Heart Attack Hill

Looking to do Kelly Flats/Heart Attack Hill Wed or Thursday (3/4 May). Outside Ft Collins. Late offer but I thought I would throw it out anyway.

The weather is supposed to turn sour starting Wed afternoon so it could make a Thursday run messy.

The trails dont open up really early up here. Hoping they'll be open soon with the warm weather. But who knows.

Nope. Went and did Sevenmile Road instead (just up the street from Kelly Flats). Wasn't very challenging but had rain, hail, snow, and load of mud to play with. In the clouds almost the entire time.

IMHO, there is no reason Kelly Flats can't be opened since Sevenmile actually hooks up with it on the top.

It was a good time nonetheless.

I did remember to turn on my GPS tracking though. Has anyone ever imported their track data into Google Earth? It's pretty cool!

Anywho.....if you are interested and have Google Earth loaded you can save the word doc file attached and see the trail on the earth. The jpg attachment is the GPS profile of the entire trail loop. Just geewhiz info.
