Well, its almost 100% done.

Looks sweet as hell.

First, AJ got a new welder....I LOVE it, it makes MY welds look good. Really easy to use, and SUPER powerful. I was having so much fun just welding away with it....

There will be a flip-down step added on each side for a better access to the roof rack...

This FJ also has a jerry can setup on his roof rack....kinda cool.

Sick. It looks a lot better than some of your prototypes. You going to get new tires before the 'con?

If all goes well, yes. I need the lift first....looks like Revtek has donated a lift. Once that arrives, it will be installed and then I will get some meats on there. and of course a rear bumper. Possibly looking into creating some kinda front skid too.

This rig already has the Revtek lift, bling bling wheels and tires. Little too flashy for ME, but I do think they look nice. They would get beat to hell on a serious trail though....He is running 295/70/17's...and he is getting a front bumper, a rear bumper and sliders all powdercoated...

Hmm...lets see....FREE spacer lift....or....$900ish for the OME stuff.

I will opt for the free stuff....give a testing out period... Then possibly get the OME stuff and have firsthand knowledge of the differences between the two.

I just thought that all of RevTek's kits were Blocks in the rear.

I wouldn't put blocks on my truck even if they were free.

They would be if the FJ had leafs in the rear. Instead, it is 4 coil spacers.

nice looking bumper - follow the lines well!
and I really like the step idea!

2 questions: any recovery points + hitch and where are you putting high-lift - on the roof?

I met up with some FJ folks this weekend at Frank Raines; afterwards, I headed up to Bentup to (hopefully) begin the fabrication of a front skid plate.... (yes, we got a good start, but Im not posting ANYTHING till its all done....lol)

When I got there, the Yellow FJ was in the shop getting all the bling installled...so the next 2 hours were spent installing the front and rear bumpers, sliders, winch, control box, front lights, and rear backup lights. All metal was powdercoated, and turned out awesome.

I am seriously jealous....I want it all, and I want it NOW!

I remember the first prototypes of the rear FJ bumpers being really tall on the sides. Then the other day I was behind an FJ and saw that you don't need to build it up that tall and can make a bumper for it just like any other truck (aka not freakishly tall on the sides). Glad to see Chuck and AJ were able to work something out that looks awesome!

FJ owners will have to do some chopping to make the rear bumper work w/ the plastic sides.
The four bolts in the middle are part of the stock mounting for the rear bumper.

May be a fix for that would be using a cut out on the sides of the bumper, similar to the x-terra's (the new ones). Hummm....
