Yes I know its mothers day. But my 'rents may go and my GF's dad and step mom will probably go with their ATV's. So if anyone else wants to go, see how many people post up and then we can set a meeting time and place.
Nothing hard, just a time to get the truck dirty and off pavement. Probably have a coworker come with one of his jeeps also.

Its up the poudre river area. Basically all the way up to Fort Collins, then a lil further north to get to the Poudre River Valley, then about 25ish or so miles up the valley. Mapquest here. A decently long drive from the south. (http://www.mapquest.com/directions/main.adp?go=1&do=nw&rmm=1&pn1x=&a1x=&c1x=&s1x=&z1x=&un=m&cl=EN&qq=hltF3hzNT9tNhURP0HLlhh9UYBmHRqyBceg4Gkon14D8uew Lk7pjHQ%253d%253d&ct=NA&rsres=1&1y=US&1ffi=&1l=&1g=&1pl=&1v=&1n=&1pn=&1a=&1c=Colorado+Springs&1s=co&1z=&2y=US&2ffi=&2l=&2g=&2pl=&2v=&2n=&2pn=&2a=&2c=rustic&2s=co&2z=&r=f)
Nothing really hard, just to get out some and see some scenery. A few fun spots on the trail I think.
And then if anyone wants, probably grab some food in Old Town fort collins after the run and get some beer.

It goes up from rustic up pingree hill road. Then it goes west off of that road and climbs up the valley, creek crossings, etc. Then tops out up towards Red Feather, then I think you go back down pingree hill to 14 and rustic.
I'm thinking about meeting at the gas station at the mouth of the Poudre/on 14 and 287. 10 AM. And I'll be in a black 4door Tacoma with shell and ARB front bumper. And if anyone wants maybe grab some brew and food after the run.
Its nothing hard, and just to get out some. Coworker will probably bring his jeep so we can have something to pull out (JK, I own a jeep to).

K. Should be a fun run. And talking about gas. My taco takes premium with the supercharger. OW!!! :bitchslap But my jeep is a 4banger for some decent gas mileage, except for the fact of it having stock gears and 33's.

Hey go'n wheeling is no different than going to eat out, a ballgame or a movie...any way you want to celebrate Moms is cool!
I gotta butter up momma so I can go play...

My mom would fall apart if I took her wheeling for mothers day, lol! She'd be car sick and scared to death. In fact, my grandma, 75 years old, would enjoy 4wheeling much more. She'd love it!

I'll give you some good directions...The place is called Ted's Corner, and it's a Conoco, if I recall correctly. Best way is to take I25 to exit 269, Hwy 14 West (Mulberry). Take this about 4 miles to College Ave (287 North), take a right and head North through Old Town. The road will curve towards the mountains after you get out of town. 4 miles up 287 you'll need to exit northward to stay on 287/14 (there's a big sign, make like you're heading to Laramie) From there it's 6 miles to the gas station, which you can't miss. If you wanna meet in Ft. Collins, I can show you the way.
Last time I did 7mile it was snowed over bad! This'll be awesome.

Not enough photos to start a new 'trip report' thread, so here goes. Interesting day. Perfect weather. We argued a lot about how to properly ascend a particular hill, I lost my pocket knife, and the Jeep broke a front upper shock mount clean off the frame, which is now held in place by my bungee. Although nobody made it up the hill, I did find my pocket knife.

That is alot more solid/compact then when we did it yesterday. You're not throwing much up at all in that video. Yesterday it was loose as fug. I'll see if i can get the video I took of Jeremey trying to go up it, but it'll be a huge ass file.
Anyone wanna host it?

That was wicked! Dave's right though, the ground was frozen solid in your vid. It was soft and loose yesterday, and it was softer and looser by the time we'd tried to ascend it half a dozen times, lol.

I did this trail a few weeks before and posted it here (http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showpost.php?p=402065&postcount=6). For anyone reading this thread for reference I have GPS profile data as well as a google earth attachment of the trail too on that link/post.
