I'm in. Are you thinking about camping at the main "browns camp" campgrounds? It looked pretty nice. The bathrooms werent too bad. Which would be good for my girlfriend, who may or may not go.

If you want/need bathrooms then it'd be great. It was clean and well kept up. Lyda if free and we probably wouldnt have any neighbors. I don't know how popular Lyda is, so it might get taken or we might be able to share it, idk. Lyda is kinda in the middle of TSF too. I'm flexable, so any place would be fine with me.

The shell station on hwy 6 to browns camp has maps with all the trails on it. I have one here at work that I'm looking at. It looks like most of the trails are kind spread out, but most of them are close to browns camp. Browns camp is on the east side. last weekend, after we did firebreak 5 and some other trails, we took hwy 6 to some trails that were farther away. We did archers (or some of it I think) and Rogers Road, that were on the west side. I need to start marking the trail heads on my GPS so that I can find em easier, but we shouldn't have too much trouble finding them.

i don't know, i'm sure we can stop at the shell, I might need gas anyway by that time :) I ran it stock with 31s, open diff, there are ways around the difficult trails, I don't know what CB channel? anything is fine with me

As far as requirements go, I have 31 ATs, no lift, and a rear locker. So pretty much everyone should be ok. We'll have straps for those who need em.

Hmmm not sure if you're replying to me or not but is the main campground/staging area the place where you turn left to browns camp and its a big area with gravel and a bathroom?? Hehe sorry i've only been to browns camp once, which was last friday to drive around and check out the place since I hear a lot of people talk about it..I didn't get far..came to this narrow bridge so I busted a U turn then went up another trail and came to a closed gate..also turned around and went another way and came to a dead end..

ok. either way we'll play it by ear. the only reason i ask is IIRC more of the 4WD trails are towards the south by Lyda camp. and you dont ahve 2 stroke dirt-bikes at 630am. :D but you get nice bathrooms at browns camp. either way i am game. i can always run to the cell tower and call my brother if plans change and he needs to goto lyda camp. (yes there is a secret, ok maybe not really a secret but you know, trail at browns where you get cell service)

Yea, sleepin in the 4runner rocks. I'm down to camp any where every one else wants to. Only thing that browns offers is bathrooms. My gfriend wont be coming, so thats not an issue for me. If anyone realy needs bathrooms, speak up. Otherwise, my vote goes for Lyda or the other spot?

well i have the Bumper Dumper if anyone needs bathroom (read: milk crate + $4 toilet seat from walmart) and it work wonders :D lyda camp is bigger then the 2 other spots i know but they still hold 7-10 truck just fine. if we goto browns camp we would have to get mulitple camp sites, (and pay for htem) plus lyda camp / "4th of july" / "wrecked car" (the places i know) are closer to the cell tower.

there are some pretty hard stuff on Archers, but alot of it is shut down at the time. i need to find all my recovery gear... what is everyone bringing as far as recovery gear? i am going to bring a 60" hi-lift, 30x3 recovery strap, 2 ton come along, 10" loggers chain, and my 2 D shackels (if i can find them :mad: )

are we planning to set up camp in the morning or wheel for a while and then set up camp? i am debating if i should bring my trailer, it makes it really nice to just throw everyhign in there especally if its wet and raining... but if i bring the trailer it makes it harder to wheel. (oh i've done it before, took that thing up a part of archers :D) backing up is just a little hard. i think since i am running solo, and it should be too rainy i think i;ll just throw everyhing in the runner and not worry about it.

I'm not sure when we'll setup camp. I don't have much to setup, since everything's pretty much gona stay in my 4runner. It might be a good idea to setup camp first, and kinda claim our spot.

had tons of fun guys!! i was surprised how well my toyota did for being stock with week sauce all terrains, but then again its a toyota. thanks to everyone who showed up. i wish i could have camped with you all, but it was still a blast regardless. next time we head up there i will map out our entire trip so we spend the least amount of time possible on gravel roads :D i dont own a digital camera so i didnt get any pics, but if you guys have video and photos, send them to me so i can post them on the website.
