if ya read it there is no trail closure.... just boundaries so that the people that have a problem staying on the trail will have a little harder time. the whole lefthand/carnage system has been in danger of being completely closed for years

Yeah I think Carnage is safe for a little while.... The new boundaires and rules seem to be doing the trick, bnut it only takes one bad egg!

it's still a closure either way you look at it,more barriers are good, but that gives people ammo if someone decides to go around it,that kind of crap happens all the time over here, signs go up, and then the motorcycle and atv guys just go around it, or destroy it, and then the forest service closes more of the area down, catch 22 you know, and i dont know why i even post this stuff on here,no one seems to care to much anyway

Well,

I think we ALL care, but then again we are not the ones out there trashing the place, its all the inconsiderate little punks (And I don’t mean just teenagers) running around.

I am not sure how to remedy the problem but perhaps we can do something about it. Maybe some big organized trail cleanups or something. Ideas…

You can’t expect it to change unless you do something about it. I want to do something about it!!!!

And, if you see any of those assholes that tear up the forest, give'em a piece of your mind, if that don’t work, shoot'em!.

i hear you,i deal with the same issue over here and we give plate #'s to the forest service now if someone is blatently out of control, and some tickets have been writen because of it,it's mainly motos and atvs that think they can go anywhere around here, most of the 4x crowd keep it on the trails for the most part, and some serious words have been had with some of these asses before hand as well, then we walk away saying I've got your plate #,that always gets a rise out of them, laughing, the FS is so under staffed these days that they really can't do anything about this stuff , so they just close it for good, and that sux for all users,it has worked over here to turn people in and then they see the user groups being pro active, and thats a positive step toward working with these agancies,as most know, this will continue to be a more serious issue each year,i deal with the same crap in all the stuff i do for fun, rock, rivers, wheeling, backpacking, etc..., but i did recently discover an ohv area with alot of potential for crawling trails less than 1 hr from my house,so thats a good deal since you can basically go and drive where ever you want and put in trails

I hear you on the atvs. there were a couple cutting across a wetland area (already were tracks there) along the FSR trail. So when they pulled up, I started by asking them if they have heard of cohvco...yada yada...explaining this group advocates for staying on the trail and keeping trails open for all users...dunno if they caught the clue, but the atvs weren't plated and that was about the only 'enforcement' authority I could reasonably expect...

LOL ... just clean up the shells when your done.

Well, there has to be something we can do. I always take a bunch of trash bags and clean up as much junk as I can. I personally have not run into too many A-holes on the trail, a few, but not alot.

I will start taking liscence numbers if needed. And will see what I can do to get more involved.
