After driving around for the past 2 weeks with out power steering and those big honkin' tires, I am VERY happy with my Scout II box. To keep costs down, I'm running the stock Tacoma pump til it dies. I had my hoses made by Granberry (http://www.granberry.com/) here in town, big thanks to Rich who works there. (Shane and other North Phoenix peeps, they have a new facility opening tomorrow Monday May 15th off I-17 and Deer Valley). They modded my Toyota stuff and put on fittings for the Scout stuff. No leaks thus far and reasonably priced (imo). Weeee, it's steers like it's on jack stands w/o tires....VERY NICE.

Here are a couple pics with the front junk put back on. I still need to cut the fenders, but so far not a big issue. Next comes the A/C.

LOL, yeah that "tupperware" does some damage to the local insects. I have other things to tackle before I can work out a bumper and other protective junk. At least I can drive it and work on it a bit here and a bit there.

Trail voyage I assume, it's a ways away unfortunately. I have no money (need to repost my TRD rear and get it gone). I need to get the a/c squared away. I'm running around with the stock Ford gears, 3.73's I think. So I need to get and install the gears and lockrights. I need to get all the gussets welded in and finish up whatever else isn't yet. I need to get working on some sliders. And with all that, I'm thinking I may be ready for a trail day. Hmmmm, July/August sometime???? :o ...we'll see.

Thanks Hoefer. I'm used to the "never ending project club" as I used to own VW's. It's having enough money/time to get junk done that kills me.

If you decide you want to split up your rear I might be interested in the third. Also, I will be cutting off my sliders 'any day now' and you are welcome to them. They are definately well used but might work out for ya until you get your others done.

later!

Thanks for the slider offer, I just might be interested. As for the 3rd, I had an offer from Pirate for the same, but I'd like to see if I can get it sold complete.
