Just like the title says, I'm looking for someone who might be able to weld some aluminum plate to a roof basket i have.

Ah, just go buy the Al wire and a small tank of Argon ;)

It's kinda far for you but Mark at SemiQuip does Aluminum welding with his TIG setup. Gotta be someone closer to you though.

I can KINDA tig weld aluminum, haven't had much practice recently. I'll practice some more tommorow. How big is the basket?

REally??? I'm not looking for a totally pro job, I just want to be able to put some weight on this rack, and i don't think that's possible the way it is. Currently it's about 4 feet by 5 feet. The sheet of aluminum i have is 1/4 (I know overkill, but i already had it.) and all i was planning on doing is cutting it down to fit the bottom ring of the rack, then doing a few stitch welds.
