Some of the items are in obvious need of an upgrade (link mounts) and others might be hiding. Give me some input on what you want made. Link mount brackets with a ramp in 2 weeks.....

What we are working on.....and what we have seen....

Gas Tank skid/Exaust crossover pipe - I have been looking at the gas tank skid plate problem and it is tied to the crossover pipe problem. I really think the only feasable way to correct the exaust pipe is to re-route it to the rear of the transfer. However, that puts it too close to the inherently weak plastic Gas Tank that rides too low to begin with. The obvious answer is to build a better gas tank that is both higher and farther back so as to give a margin of safety when you run the crossover tube in front of it. We are looking into it.

The front skids - I have already seen these torn off from the first slight impact, truly junk! ~1 milimeter thick. Check with AJ @ www.bentup.com he is working on a nice one at least 3/16" thick and more likely 1/4".

Rear arm protection - we are making a new mounting bracket for them with a ramp built in. ~ 2 weeks.

Anything else?

Dan,

Great to see your interest on the FJ stuff!

Front and Rear swaybar disco's would be really cool to have!

We talked about the exhaust last weekend, and I told you about the FJ that had his exhaust relocated....here are pics I found on another forum...

Looks real clean in the rear view but got any side view pics?

Why Angry Andy? If anything I want to call you Smiley Andy. He always seems so happy......Oh, I get it.

BTW, I think we need to decide on how to fix those tailights too.

Those are the only pics that were posted.

And I will fill you in on the Angry part next time I see ya.

Those taillights are carnage for sure, but I thought you only worked with metal! Maybe you can fab up a metal dummy plate to replace the plastic; and it will accept some blingy LED's....

But first do some rear trailing arm skids, not only on the front side, (like mine) but the backside is really exposed as well. Makes me wonder if the links themselves are solid; or DOM....

Andy, who did that exhaust? Is it the same as the new Taco? Sure looks the same.

I have to have that crap-tastic design fixed pronto while I still have an exhaust crossover pipe. That thing finds a way to bounce off of obstacles that don't even exist. Like a rock-magnet.

It will be about a week until the CNC benders can show us the result I am looking for.....watch for it. Worked a few hours on the Skidplates today with AJ @ Bentup, might as well work together since we are so close to each other.....We should have the first mounted and pricing within a week.....
