This year's banquet dinner, in which Toyota USA sponsors for us every year, will be held at Magic Springs (http://www.magicsprings.com/) (the theme park next to the ORV park). All participants will get to come into the Magic Springs for the dinner Saturday July 22nd and will also get to goto the concert that evening (all paid for by Toyota). The band Kansas (http://www.kansasband.com/) is playing there that night. Very cool 70's band, for you youngsters that are not familiar with them. :) Carry on our Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, All I Wanted...just to name a few of their popular songs!
So, you get into Magic Springs and have access to all their rides...you are getting fed a catered dinner and get to goto a concert...just for showing up for the event, how cool is that!
The really cool thing about this is, the pavillion where we will have the dinner is right next to the amphitheater where the concert will be held. So all the people going to the concert that night (they are expecting 20,000 in attendance) will walk right by us on their way to the concert. Magic Springs has given us the okay to display any banners we wish and to display up to 4 vehicles.
Also, all sponsors who attend the event will be allowed to setup a display booth at the banquet dinner.

The only problem is, whoever's vehicles we use to display at the dinner that night will not be able to wheel for the day as the vehicles must be setup before Magic Springs opens for the day (before 11am) and will not be able to be moved until after the concert is over (after 10pm). Something to do with liability as the vehicles cannot be driven when there are guests within their park.

C'mon Bear, purple is out for this year. :p
"Hollywood" would be a great display choice , since it's too purdy to wheel :D

You and me both brotha :D ! I decided to get some Stanzworks wheels built, then while I was at it decided to upgrade my D-44 up front, then that turned into building a completely new hybrid 44/60 axle, and now I'm contemplating building a full-float D-44/60 rear hybrid axle before the takeover..................looks like I will spending many long nights under my junk in the next 6 or so weeks, good thing is we've got a great motivator with this years Takeover looking so damn cool  !
Purple???????
How many times do I have to say it…IT'S BURGUNDY!!!!!!

ummmm…not to be rude or anything, but where ya been? Take Over is the annual event everyone talks about until the next one.
go to the home page for all the details.
Or were you cracking on our little running joke about displaying your rig to get a new FJ to wheel with? If that is the case, Don't take us literal, we are just screwing around!

I think it might be a bit of a drive to come out and wheel.. Plus the Cash flow is a little low right now.. :(
Thanx for the info though!! :D
sorry couldn't tell if you were joking or what?
But if I can drive in from the upper midwest, you can make from the Left coast. :D

Im not sure that my rig would be able to make the trip.. Gas is too high for me right now to even think about it..
But then again.. we would be going to a free concert to see Kansas in Arkansas!! :lmao:

Kenneth no longer works at Magic Springs from what I was told yesterday when I called to speak to him. I am now dealing with Barbara.

One thing I noticed on the Magic Springs website is that active duty military get in free anyway. It looks like David and I would have gotten in free anyway, but it rocks that Toyota is willing to do this for us.

Yes, you and your passengers (as long as you registered them when you signed up for this event) will get tickets.
You should have received an e-mail a short while ago asking you to fill out a form and send it back in. If you have not replied to this e-mail you need to do so at this time. If you did not receive the e-mail, please goto the following thread and scroll down to the second message in it:
http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11164 (http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11164)

That is the information that you needed to make sure Carlos has. One of the main reasons we are getting people to fill out that form is so we can see how many tickets we are going to need from Magic Springs.
