You may or may not know, there is a nasty body mount on the front of the FJ....

So tonight I decided to chop it away...drivers side is DONE!

Here are the pics....

Oh yeah, measure TWICE and cut ONCE...unless your me. I started with a small cut, then realized, Im better off cutting MORE then LESS....

leave the FJ alone and go beat the crap out of the other two FULLY BUILT WHEELING rigs you own. LOL... Or sell them both, buy another DD and lets just SAS the FJ.

lol... ahhhhh come on.. half the fun is taking a brand new rig and cutting the hell out of it, and its just plain fun to build em.. but hell, you guys know all about that at bentup.

Has there been any confirmed sightings of Andy driving anything other than the FJ since he got it? I'm not too sure, but I think he's got a new addiction!

...now back to my own...

oh, and... Nicely done!

Hence why he should sell the Tacoma and the 4-runner and just go full bore on the FJ. The tricky part is how to fit a crawler into an FJ w/ out going to a custom fuel cell. The SAS part is easy.

We are almost finished with the Ultimate Adventure FJ solid axle swap. We will have a kit for this in the future.

get a different tank... there's a great big open space under the rear of the thing, perfect new home for a gas tank... Next time Andy leaves the FJ there to be 'measured', you could....... :saw: :welder:

once it was started....

This will allow you to run 35's I assume?

Ummm........NO.

Some 33's (285's) will rub without a lift. Some clear fine...depends on the rim and tire style.

The only way to fit 35's and actually WHEEL it, is to cut a LOT more then just a body mount.

Of course, a lift and the body mount MIGHT fit 35's, but I would love to see that rig on some rocks, not just on the street.

All-Pro has put 35's on theirs now, I am not sure about the rubbing condition.

Hey Andy, Why not chop the whole end off that baby, and box it in? Is there a reason that mount extends way past the actual mount?

You really dont need to.....I just cut it flush with the inside of the fender well. This is equal to the 'pinch weld' mod for the tacomas....
