just pounded the pinch-weld and I was wondering if i could use a cut-off wheel to cut off the bottom most part of the seam? and clean up the look of it all. is their any particular reason that it would be a bad idea? i don't see any, but hey @ 4 am, my ideas seem plausible...just want to cut the bottom-most part, you know the thinest part, not the entire seam.
thanks

Go for it, as long as you don't cut the part where it's two layers of metal. I cut mine out as part of the Flare install with no problems. Make sure you paint it all afterwards with undercoat to keep it from rusting.

Just take a grinder to it. Grind it all the way down flush, then run a bead of weld over it and it'll stay "pinched" but be flatter than before.

you see that bottom most piece, after you cut the plastic...it's a triangular, single piece of metal. that's what you pound, or in my case, cut off.

just wondering about those rims you have. What size are they and do you have any more pics that are bigger? If so, if you get a chance, email them to me offroader4x4@hotmail.com.

Thanks

I am running 35's with 6" of combined lift and am thinking of cutting off the corner of the cab almost to the door and closing it in with sheet metal. What do you think?

How else can I lift it? Other than the big lifts.

Generalee7 did a major pinchweld mod on his truck and posted the pics on the old board, maybe he'll jump in and post'em again.

What backspacing are you running on your wheels to fit 37's. It must be all suspension. Do you still have full turning radius?
