just might want to consider allpro strongly recommends 64" wms axle for their kit and your talking about a 60ish waggy.
im at 63 and things are getting tight trying to frame mount my links and make room for the coilovers, panhard.
as far as initial thoughts go. that and you must have a way better job than me :o good luck with it.

aren't they coming out w/a kit that is "compatible" w/the waggy axles though sometime soon?

I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say...last I talked to them, they hadn't had it figured out for the waggy, I guess I'm hopin they do real soon. If I had a real good job then I'd just get their blingin D60. :D

I know how you feel, i've got almost every piece I need except for my spring hangers cause I am holding out incase I decide to go coils at the last moment. To make it worse ORS is coming out w/a tacoma coil kit to think about getting also!

All pro said they won't have the D44 mounts ready for a couple of months....WTF is up with that?
Can't I just add a tube truss to the top of my 44 and mount the links to that?

This sucks, I got money burning a hole in my pocket, and all-pro is not helping me any.

Well it looks like they'll have something ready sooner than later, so I went ahead and ordered it. Even if they don't, I'm just going to add a tube truss to the top of the waggy and mount the upper link to that.

New front wheel bearings? and bearing seals?
Lots of bolts? (Grade 8 stuff gets really expensive, I spent $120 in bolts for my swap)
Master install kits for gears?
Tre / Drag link ends?
DOM for steering links?
What are you doing for the steering shaft?
Air compressor for ARB?

I actually did forget about the bearings and seals for the d44, anybody have p/n's for the d44 bearings and seals?
120 bucks in hardware???, wow. I guess I won't know what I need bolts for until after everything gets here.
Gears and master install kits, and a new carrier are already ordered from PORC
TRE's , forgot about that, too. I'll get these from PMP # PM-TRE. Draglink and tie rod (7/8-18) TRE kit with jam nuts
The steering shaft, I'm not sure what to do about that.
And the ARB is going to be run off my CO2 bottle

Thanks for the help, YOGI.

For the tie rod and drag link I would just buy some 1.5" DOM and weld in bungs. That way you can make the links to the exact length that you want. And its cheapter that way. Dont buy the tre and drag link ends through PM. Buy them at the local parts store because they come with a lifetime warranty. PM's dont.

Also I would buy PM's knuckles (I did), but go with sky manufacturing for their 2 hole passenger side arms. You get alot better steering response and a bit easier steering with the drag link going all the way to the arm instead of connecting into the tie rod. Im sure most people who have switched to this setup would agree.

OK, so get that stuff at my local parts store, cool.

I already ordered the PM knuckle and arm kits. Is it going to be alright with that setup?

It will be alright... but I have setup quite a few SAS trucks and even converted my own. Its a much better setup IMO to run the draglink to the steering arm. Plus... each time you need to replace the passenger side tre that has the hole in it for the drag link end, you will have to taper the hole for the tre becasue the hole is nto big enough and the taper is on the wrong side.

Complete off road has good prices on the bearings and seals. Also while your there replace the upper and lower ball joints and if if you have time go with the 5-760 u-joints. They have the best prices on all of it and if you search there used bin you can get extra shafts and stub shafts. Also if you need to get a pair of flat top knuckles they set me up with a junk yard 80.00 shipped. Not helping a friends business just stumbled upon them when doing my build.

Don't go with Yukon gears! I did and I am regretting it now. Precision or better yet Motive gears use a higher quality of steel in their gears. Yukon metal is too soft, as evident from my front pinion gear bending! If it was stronger metal it would have taken more stress until the point of breaking or shattering instead of just bending.

I was talking to Bud, and he says the x-member will be done in about two weeks, and I did buy Yukon gears, as a matter of fact, there's the Fed-ex guy now!!! Gotta go.....woooooohooooooooooooo!

Wow, that's odd. I've never had a problem with the Yukon gears before. Any chance they were installed incorrectly, Bear? (even if they weren't, just lie to me, since I have yukon boxes all over my living room ;) )

better add chromy shafts,CTM u-joints and cryo the ring and pinnion to your list. your going to break everything in the axle with 37s

If you have an auto, I would go with 5.29/5.38 gears, have Bobby Long Cryo them and yes, don't forget chromo shafts and CTMs. Changing an axle on the trail isn't fun. Also, I would have Bobby Long cryo the hub internals as well. I'm running 37s and an auto and it would be nice to have a little more power in the hills.

If you go with a custom Diamond with a FZJ80 front 3rd with reverse cut gears....you dont need to cryo them :neener:

Really maybe you need to Jack(Mad African) that as he has blown up toy reverse cut 4.10s that suppose to be the strongest front toy gears.
