hey guys. I am in denver, and don't go down to springs, like, ever... except an annual trip to penrose with homegrown who all have 40s+... I have a friend in springs that im going to visit, and wanted to take them wheeling, but am not sure where to go, any suggestions? i want something hard, but not too hard. I just did left hand canyon this weekend, and even though i took all the bypasses, i still got a few dents and scratches, so maybe something a little easier than that.
my friend is a super hot girl, so if that makes a difference... so be it :xpimp:

well hope you have some fun this weekend ;) when you find some wheelin. As for trails my best suggestions would be up on old stage road but I havent been up there forever so I cant be more specific but some of the other southern guys will chime in and help you out.

yeah,
head up old stage rd and then take any of the side roads. be careful when choosing a side road though, u might get into something u won't want to be in w/ out another rig there.

Mt. Baldy, Eagle Rock, or China Wall would all be good runs for what you are describing.

wait you did left hand or carnage? they are two different trails.... carnage goes up the canyon and is hard, left hand goes up around the front side of the mountain and is fairly easy.

carnage. i came down left hand because i didn't wanna mess up my bed any more than i did on the way up :D that trail was tough w/o a locker

only one i found info on is mt. baldy and that looks pretty easy. do any of these have "obstacles" at all? i also have no idea how to get to any of these...

EAgle Rock is a 7. It's the most difficult section of trail in the area. When are you thinking of going?

hopefully this weekend if i can swap my rear axle this week. (i bought a rear axle with locker, but it is 4.10 and my truck was 3.90, so i swapped my front diff to a 4.10 diff yesterday meaning no 4wd until i do the rear axle swap) if you wanna show me around and hit a trail that would be great, ill let you know on this thread or with a pm

k so i am planning on coming up either the 1st or 2nd and will hopefully have my locker wired by then. what are the chances of beating up my bed on eagle rock?

Im not sure...I should have my sliders, and bumper and what not on by then ill try to head up there. I dont think you will have trouble though, your truck is lifted, w/ sliders and a locker you probably wont have any trouble.

k, cause i really want to limit how much i beat up on my bed... i dropped it on rocks twice at lefthand/carnage, so i want to take it easy until i get a bumper with some bed protection.

Depends on your driving. An open diff will make Eagle Rock a bit more challenging, but I've seen stock trucks go up just fine.

Your bed should be fine. I dinged my rear quarter up there though, so anything is possible ;) But i am at stock height.
Its a fun trail, you should enjoy.

Thats good you got the axle swapped. Any pics? I might be able to go this weekend. I have no clutch right now so if it goes into the shop soon enough then I might be able to come, if not then have fun.
