Very nice! How close is the foot (bottom) of the jack to the FJ's roof?

The foot is about 1.5in off the deck. I would recomend a Jack Strap handle holder for it. We might start putting that with it.

They sure will! any 1.75in tube! I also have ones that hang we use for our bed bar that work on both 1.5in and 1.75in.

question....how strudy is that rack? with the added weight of the Hi-lift will that thing tear loose on some hi-speed desert run? :p

I just went out and yanked on it and tried to tear it off. Nothing moved. I have a set on Evan's truck from Northridge Toyota he has a tundra prerunner, they are attached to his tire gate and he has jumped his truck with no issue's.
I guess in a accident given enough force the jack could shear the 1\2in bolt hard ware but I think they would slide forward before you break 1\2in grade 8 hardware?
You also have to ask what's worse a mounted jack or one thrown in the back?
Funny side note when I was just in the shop hanging off it the guys asked me what the hell I was doing. I said I want to make sure it was strong enough. They laughed and said that roof rack is going to come loose before those mounts do.

heck, I wasn't questioning your hardware, LOL, the way you overbuild stuff like that ;)
I do question Toyota, however, and how their rack in secured to the roof.

Nice work Jason, nothing but the best from you.
Now let's not lose focus here... the new FJ is really nice, you need to concentrate on a kit to do an SAS for the '05+ Tacoma's... :)

I will be ordering a set of those and a set of rock rails.

It has six mounts 2 bolts per mount. Toyota has gan can mounts for up there so I'm sure its been tested:)

I especially like the bling logo. However, it's gonna make the FJ look like poop when the Hi-lift starts to rust like they all do.

If you don't need articulation why do you need/want a SAC on a brand new truck??? The whole point of a SAC is for more artculation isnt it??

You could have it powder coated I guess?

That's what I had to do. Mine turned real nasty and was leaving little rust puddles than stains in the bed. Powder coat worked well until the first time I used it. Oh well.
