well i ended up doing eagle rock yesterday with brian (DriftinCO) and it was AWESOME. ive never done anything that hard since ive had my truck. i never thought that my truck would be capable of doing trails like eagle rock with just a 3" suspension lift and stock tires. well i just thought i would share that with everyone. i look forward to doing more trails with yall. thanks again brian for taking me up.

hey guys....
how tough is eagle rock?
i have heard it pretty tough trail but 3" and stock tires makes it sound easier.
also kind of a tribute to how bad ass tacos are?

when i did it last weekend it was def the hardest trail ive ever done but then i am rather new to wheelin. i believe brian said it was rated a 7. i wish i had better tires as that would have made it much easier. also according to brian the trail is always different everytime he has done it. the pucker factor was def there. fortunately i didnt break anything which is b/c brian did an awesome job spotting. i will agree that it was a tribute to how badass tacomas are. i never thought i would be capable of trails like eagle rock with just a suspension lift. if you ever want to go up just let me know... (i am off tomorrow and would like to go wheelin before i go back to FL for a few weeks hint hint) i will post some pics when im at my computer.

Some pics would be great!!
i have a buddy from my hockey team driving in from indiana and i am lifting his taco. we are going to hit PMI to let him break into the lift and wheelin and all that, then we are looking for a trail. eagle rock sounds pretty good. is it a two day- camp out kind of trail? (which is what we are looking for) or is it a day trip?

Where in IN is your buddy from? He's in this weekend? Bring him up to the Swap Meet on Sat. I'm open for some wheeling on Sunday after brunch.

He is from South Bend. Not sure exactly when hes coming in... he ordered some tires and soon as they get here he is driving out....so probably next week.

here are some pics of the eagle rock run that brian took when we went up. i would say it is more of a day trip but you could easily find a place to camp in the surrounding areas off of old stage road. hope this helps.

It runs up to FSR 379 and you can loop back to the east or continue on to the west and meet up with FSR 376 and take that back out to Gold Camp. The first loop back on 379 takes you to Gold Camp Road too.

Is PMI that "closed" off road area around Pueblo? I heard that a guy opened pay to play park and whined about the free wheeling at PMI (if that is the place)...so the no wheeling ordinance is being enforced...

they keep trying to close it off but it never seems to work...
i have heard that they are planning to build a road through it,
i havent heard anything about trying to charge to wheel there though.

no they finally closed it durring the summer as far as I know. the drag racers were complanning that everyone was getting dirt on the track so they closed it to everyone one except drag racers. I heard rumors that they were reopening it this winter when they are done racing. if you are caught down there you'll get a pretty big ticket I'm told. they patrol it now too.

They still have dirtbike races, a buddy of mine races down there all the time, if you have a pass, you can go to the track, but ive heard of people being down there on the weekend. and it still sucks cause i got a new bike and wanna ride it.:D

They were trying to close off the entrances to PMI from Pueblo blvd. years ago, but back then it was a half assed attempt. There were always rumors flying about how seriously they would ticket you if they caught you....I never heard of it actually happening. Sounds like they're serious now. I used to go tear around out there sooooo drunk....lol
*Please note; I've reformed from the drinking and driving days*
