I'll order mine as soon as possible, as I am sure the rest of you will too...
if the voting is a landslide one way or the other, we can probably just go ahead and order...
but I did make this a long vote time 20 days... I figured no one was in a hurry since we have been debating this for 4 months...

Not to confuse you ..but .I can do both depending upon preference..and my understanding is the diecut was preferred the opposite way ..with no circle..what is black would be white on the decal. I can order some of the printed and have them here i can even add them to the ttora store if you prefer..

The die cut would be like the one on the right, where the white is the die cut vinyl and the black represents the glass/truck/whatever the sticker is put on:

I vote for both.....I want 6 die cut stickers (one for each wheel center cap, and one for my gas cap) and 6 color stickers (one for each side of my truck and the roof and underneath)......lol j/k. Really I like the color stickers the best, I think that they will stand out more and have more of a professional look.

I'm voting for the die-cut because I prefer it on the glass, which is where I put decals. Die-cuts looks much cleaner to me. However I love the full color one - that's a beautiful sticker. I would definitely like to have both.

actually we are voting so everyone has the same, whether it be diecute clear and white, or a color printed sticker.
this way we have uniformity within the club...
as can be shown by the votes, there is a good split between who wants what...
I personally want the color as I do not think the white & clear sticker will look good on my window with a light color seat directly behind it...
if you have a tinted window I do think it would look good... I do not have tinted windows... :dunno:

Oh great here we go with the stickers again. Look if we donít have a minimal order, why not have both available? They are the same exact logo just different color. If you want to get really technical the color one is the one we use on the website and cards. Do you want me to switch those to black and white so we all look the same? Both stickers equally represent club membership both stickers have the same logo. So in short what is the difference?

The problem is that there ARE minimum order requirements! So maybe this time, we'll be able to meet the minimum, but each time someone joins we're up against it, or I have to hold double inventory in "stock" for the new people.

If it seems I'm making a big deal out of this, at the end of the day, it's MY name on the website - I'M the one who gets looked poorly upon from ANY kind of negative image of the club, and that's why I feel so strongly about how we present our logo.

What is the minimum order numbers? Also Troy donít worry so much because if you hunt for perfection to much nothing will be perfect and it will drive you insane. We need to maintain a relaxed environment and encourage membership. If we bicker back and forth over some stupid stickers for like 2 months what does that show to expected members. I have always stated and will continue to state the only reason I help with this club is I want to have fun and meat people with the same interests as me. I have to say if we fight back and forth all the time and things stop being fun I will be out because if I am not having fun the what is the point. I rather have a club with no sticker than a sticker and no club.

The minimum order for die cut is 10 and for color is "a lot". The color ones have to be hand cut. The quote I got from Kitten was cheaper for die cut, allowing more money to go back into the club for the same sticker price. Call me selfish, but I would like to get paid back for the domain name at some point...

I totally agree with Eric though that this shouldn't be that tough. I really don't have time for this shit. If someone wants to volunteer to take care of it, let me know.

just a thought but we had this poll to see what sitker will be made...and as of now it is the diecut.... since there is a minimun order of 10 for a diecut MAYBE it would be possible to order the diecut in white and black so if u have a light truck like terry he could get the black and say for eric since he has a dark truck he can get the white

that way it would be the same sticker but there would still be a choise to make people happy...... and the diecut has a minimun order of 10 so there shouldnt be a problem with getting the 2 diff colors... and they are cheeper to make

I donít have a problem buying a couple of each. As for the cost of the domain start a thread about that and ask for some donation to recover some of the lost money. I also donít have a problem tossing in a few bucks for the domain. I would willing to donate. I donít have that much free cash right now and need to plan ahead a bit so give me some warning.

I agree. This is supposed to be fun, not stressful. Part of being a club is coming together to share similar interests, while simultanously allowing the group members to express themselves individually. If each group member is paying for the sticker to be put on his or her truck, then I think they should decide what they want. Both stickers have the same wording, so it will be uniform. If the president of the club gets a bad name, it won't be for having two different colored stickers - it will be for not keeping the members together. Presidents should be able to effectively problem solve by listening to the group and adapting to each member's needs. If choosing the sticker is such a big issue, then it worries me to see how bigger issues will be handled in the future.

RedRunnertc
07-26-2006, 08:44 PM
Well, I thought I had learned my lesson over the whole sticker location thing, so I solicited and welcomed the response of the club members when it came to which sticker. I should have said "I'm taking orders, who wants how many" and everyone would have been happy to have whatever.

The problem is not indiviuality, etc - it was about minimum order quantities and manageable inventory for new members. Since Nymphotaco has changed both of these, this is less of a problem than before.

I still contend that it will look MUCH better and reflect better on the club if everyone has the same sticker in the same/similar location. I'll start a new thread where people can post how many of which they want.

Just so there's no misunderstanding in my post above (#50) I was just playing. I was done arguing after the last sticker thread. I am also at the point where I could care less what the stickers look like. People will either buy them or not depending on how much they like them. I would like to see 2 different color options but if that is going to cause a huge problem I guess it's not that important. I also think all this talk of uniformity is a bit much for a club, looking around I don't see other chapters or clubs being concerned with matching stickers and locations but like I said I could care less. So we just need to make a decision and get some stickers. We've been debating this long enough
