I suggest that the forum not allow duplicate names, such as someone who has copied mine and just added a 2. I think that this may be confusing to other members, as well as ruin my reputation. Not saying that I have a strong reputation, but other members may disregard everything that I say thinking that I am this poser, because it is difficult to tell the difference.

I'll let Shannon make the call, I think there might be somewhat of a gray area. Say you have a user 2001TRD. Later someone else signs up as RED2001TRD. They are probably not trying to pose as someone else.
I think in your case, your name is unique enough that someone else adding a 2 on the end is trying to pose as you.
If someone signs up as Mike2 should they be banned?

look guys i'm not trying to cause any trouble it's just that i have used blt2rcktrd in the past at other fourms and didn't give any thought when i joined this one because I thought it was to unique. So when it said it was taken i just added the number 2 to the end of it, as far as ruining someones rep. thats the last thing i would want to do. I have been a part of forums that have had people join just to cause trouble and that's something i won't stand for. if someones feelings are getting hurt than I can change it, I just thought we were all mature enough to not worry about someones handle just their knowledge and ability to answer others questions.

Two things:
1. Asshat= someone who's head is up their ass - ass hat. :)
2. What does blt2rcktrd signify? I can get the rock TRD part, but the blt2 is confusing me. I can't believe that two people chose it without it having some deep meaning or something. Just curious.

I'm strongly against this for two reasons:
1) It can't be properly implemented programmatically, a human needs to look at every signup. Not feasible.
2) If people can't figure out that bigbadbob0 is different from bigbadbob1 (look at my member number, look at my number of posts) then they are too stupid for me to care about what they think of me. Besides, like Dale, I'm looking for someone to improve my rep :)

I'm not real paticular any reputation would be ok other than a UPS driver. They seem to have trouble finding my house. I think it is just my local driver can't drive and is afraid of my driveway. I don't understand why though I bring a dump truck home pretty often since the shop is a mile past my house it's faster to just come home.

Yes I agree, no to a ups driver, but I know why they dont like my house because one day my dog got loose and chased the woman out of the truck.... so they pull up with the doors shut and honk till I come out.
