if running stock rotors, I suggest factory brakes. pay little more but typically last twice as long.

x2,

Can't go wrong with OEM, especially pads!

I use a ceramic pad made by Akebono. No brake dust at all and I think they're great. I changed from stock pads to these and have gotten over 50K miles on them and still have pad left. A little pricey, about $80 at BAP, or Carlos at SRD can get them for you, probably cheaper. I have set brand new in the box I can sell to you for what I paid ($52 still have receipt) but need to make sure P/N ISD436 would be the same for your truck. What ever you decide, make sure you have the rotors turned (you probably knew that but just in case).

Cool, thanks guys! I am thinking of going to Power Slot Slotted Rotors (http://www.powerslot.com/), and possibly Hawk pads (http://www.hawkperformance.com/). My other option is brembo rotors zinc plated and slotted by www.irotors.com (http://www.irotors.com) in conjunction with Porterfield Racing R4-S High performance and autocross carbon kevlar pads, www.porterfield-brakes.com (http://www.porterfield-brakes.com)

What's different about IRotors is they make their slots longer than the pad, allowing the gases to escape. I've seen slotted rotors from other companies and they're really small, small enough to be covered in its entirety by the pad - not allowing the hot gases to escape. I do not want get drilled rotors because I've heard stories of rocks/debris from mud and water crossings getting stuck in the holes and damaging the pad.

Any input on any of these products?

Hey CAPTAIN OBVIOUS...errrrrr OBLIVIOUS.

Take a hike, your time on TTORA is severly limited, much like your lack of respect and intelligence regarding what you have done. Why don't you look for a new place to socialize and make new friends to lie to and screw over. Try starting at the bottom of a clogged toilet where you'll find plenty of other pieces of crap to lay with !!!!

Give me a shout and we can see which way you want to go. If you want to go with Akebono's I can get you pricing on those or I can usually do better than dealer on factory parts.

Trust me when I tell you that I'm not the only one you've lost. For the folks that you think could accept what you've done, why not tell them the truth (the real truth) and see where it gets you?!?!

Holy crap, I don't come round here very often, and when I do, I find you two behaving like I am trying to teach my 7 year old how to respect.
What ever has happened between the two of you can be handled in a more "private" manor, You are both grown up enough to know that words can hurt, especially ourselfs after all is kewl and has passed over, and both you fawkers should know better than any one,
Hey Mike, even if he tried to kiss you when he was horribly intoxicated, you know that, that will pass also,,,,I have been there!!
Good night, both you guys go to your rooms for the night.
Tomorrow is a different day.

I recommend OEM replacements at NAPA! Just did my pad/rotor install about a month ago! Good luck!

By the way, what did this guy do to make Heatstroke so mad? He's usually a level headed guy on the national forum and gives good advice on various things! Kiss and make up now!

I've tried to keep it off the board with a pm. Reason obviously didn't work. I don't think people should ask me what he did, I think they need to ask him what he's done. I'm currently "under the bus" for speaking out, but I'm ok with that. When even the basic facts are told, I am certain that I won't be standing alone.
