Just wanting to know if anyone wants to run Kelly Flats on Sunday, August 27. The best meeting place would be Teds Place (gas station at 14 and 287 just before you head into the Poudre Canyon. Post up if you're interested. :bitchslap

I'm planning on being at Ted's Place at 9, and leaving there about 10 or earlier if everyone shows up earlier. It'll be a good time. I know we need some people to try the chutes.

Anyone else at all? I think my brother may take his FJ40 (lifted, 33" nitto MT's, and ARB front bumper), and maybe his friends 45 series or 80 series land cruiser. Got a good variety of vehicles coming, should be fun.

Definitely interested, new to wheeling though and truck is 2005 bone stock. What's it rated; can my truck do it. Will check back tonight for replies and to let ya'll know for sure if you can expect me.

Hey, never mind on the q's about kelly flats. Looked it up (crazy what a little search will do). I don't think my truck is ready for that yet, especially the chutes. Let me know if ya'll think different, but with no lift and open diffs I'll probably be dead in the water. Also not ready to trash my truck since I can't afford repairs on a graduate school budget.

It can be done in a stock truck. We have a stock limited 4runner (with running boards I bet) coming along with a cherokee on 30" tires and open front and rear, etc. The chutes are totally optional, along with a bypass to heart attack hill that still is fun (personally more fun since there are rocky areas/small climbs to play on since I can't play on the harder lines of heart attack hill). You can make it hard if you want, or still have fun in a stock vehicle. I rarely used my locker on that trail. I was camping up that direction this past weekend and ran it for the hell of it on sunday, didn't have any problems at all.

I think you'd be fine and think you'd have a good time. :kewl:

And if push comes to shove (which I'm 99.9% sure it wont) we can stack rocks and spot you through anything you dont feel comfortable with. I ran it start to finish on my own with no spotting and I'm not that far from stock.

Tiger you can do it stock. Oddly enough, this was the first trail I did in my truck, and I remember freaking out on heartattack hill, but man! was it fun!
Come along anyway, and you can ride w/ one of us

Count me in (unless things have changed on the forum when I check tomorrow am). I'll try to be at Ted's place at 9 sharp. Look forward to meeting up with you guys and "breaking" the truck in.
