Fawking navy exam is this morning. What a stupid fawking way to get promoted. "hey lets stick our guys in a sardine can with no AC, and make them take a 200 question test that has absolutely nothing to do with the requirements of their job at 6:30am and then we will only promote 2-3 people in each rate just to keep them hoping!" FAWKING JERKS!!!! Wish me luck! Going for the big money now! E-5 baby! :suicide: :aahg: :missingto

So glad the Army didn't do me like that!!! But then again I never served anywhere remotely close to any form of water?? The price you pay to be on the ocean I guess.
Stand Tall and do your best!!! I have a cousin in law that was just promoted to E-5 she's a Coremen somewhere overseas now.
I totally agree with you, it does suck ass!!! But "YOU CAN DO IT'!!! :D

That's all up to the individual..........if youhave enough college credits then yes you can go in as an officer, but you need to complete some kind of degree if you haven't already. I was stationed with an English major that was an E-4 but that was her choice at the time of her recruitment..

Well the test wasnt as bad as I have experienced in the past. At least some of the questions pertained to my job this time. I also had the pleasent surprise of them switching rooms for the two sides of the alphabets. So I got a room with AC that worked great!!! That helped alot. Still in a sardine can but oh well. I would give anything to have the navy wake up and start promoting on a timely and performance basis...although alot of people who are borderline retarded but happen to be booksmart would be out of jobs! :D Anyways, the day ended well, the hurricanes have kicked up a solid 5-7 ft swell so I was out all afternoon enjoying some semi glassy head high walls!!! So overall it was a darn good day. Now I just have to wait a few months for the test results...

I have extras... :kewl:
Just keep in mind that if you don't make it there is always next time and the award and pna points will help out a lot. I took the E-5 test I think 4 or 5 times, with no less than a must promote, last two times were with an early promote on my eval. I would have got a cap on the Sept cycle but when the results came out I was in the middle of a transfer from sea to shore duty.
