Yea Croom would be ok. Nothing to bad out there, only Tim's mudhole. lol Citrus might not be to bad, but we will have to keep our trucks clean so we don't get tickets. Richloam.... We break to much shit out there in the daylight. I would like to ride out there at night with a spotlight and see what all you would see. Maybe if our first night trip goes ok, we could try that for the next one. Who all is interested in going, and what night would be better, friday or saturday night?

It is by I75 and SR50, close to brooksville. It's pretty easy trails mostly. Where are you located?

 "Tim's Mud Hole" .............That's where I draw the line.

Tim,
Is your Runner up for it ?
I thought you were looking for a motor.

I'm not sure I'll have mine back from getting the lift and locker put in by then. I should know by the end of the week.

Why are you going with a Detroit TrueTrac LSD over a real locker?

I thought about going with a lockright. I put one in the Jeep my son has now. But I do alot of city driving and my GF drives it once in a while when her daughter uses her car. Later I'll put one in the front too. I just wanted something strong, reliable, street friendly and it's better than an open diff. And cheaper than ARB

I think you'll be disappointed with an lsd even if you set it up "tight" when you lift a wheel you'll lose all of you traction. An lsd relys upon both wheels being in contact with the ground. If one spins but still has some traction it tighten up the clutch pack in the diff. If it lifts it just spins.

The lock right is the friendliest locker around once you get past the noise.

From what I've read the Truetrac is all gears, No clutch plates. Also I've read that a light braking engages it to the wheel with traction.

I was thinking about a Detroit Locker, but I had to consider where and who it is driven by. Sucks to be so practial.

A lock right would be fine for a DD and if she doesn't floor it on take offs or when turning it isn't going lock up. She'll hear some poping sounds from the back but thats it. The full detroit would the best choice but if all you're going to play in the mud a True Trac will work good for you. Like Neil said if you ever lift a tire its be just like stock open diffs.

That's why i asked, LSDs suck. Get either a full detroit or a lunchbox type if you can't afford a selectable locker. You will have to get used to the lockright on the street with the 5spd. Once you learn how to drive with it though it isn't a big deal. IMO LSDs are a waste of money for real wheeling.

Sorry about the late reply ben76, but I didn't get an e-mail saying I received a reply. Anyways I fixed that. I'm on the East side of Orlando by Waterford.
