One of the guys I work with and I are thinking about doing Carnage on Saturday. Weather looks like it might cooperate - anyone interested?

I'm kind of like a broken record with this question...can I make it in a stock open/open 05 or would I just be a pain in the ass? If there are bypasses I might consider going (assuming I can get enough work done before). Trails.net rated it a 6, but I've done Kelly Flats which they rated a 7 (Kelly Flats had a bunch of bypasses and I did get stuck once).

theres a few tight spots on lefthand that will take some effort from ya. and i dont know with your 05 being wider than the trucks ive seen do it and done it in. carnage probably not unless you want to have some aerodynamic resurfacing done on your body

Um, I wont do Carnage. And I've got a small lift and rear locker. Though I could probably take the jeep through both.

The greatest thing about Carnage is that it's exactly as hard as you want to make it. There are bypasses for most everything, and we have taken some pretty stock trucks through with no (OK - a little) damage, but it's tough - I wouldn't do it without sliders.

Also - was the trails.net rating for the Carnage Canyon section, or the Lefthand Canyon trail - they're WAY different!

Count me out then. Still saving for sliders and locker...some day. Not ready to trash the truck...some day.

4x4Trails.net listed it as Carnage Canyon/Lefthand Canyon with one rating of 6.

The greatest thing about Carnage is that it's exactly as hard as you want to make it exactly, when i moved here 2 years ago, I stayed away from Carnage also, then finally got the nerve up, it was easy, with a good spotter you have nothing to worry about.
I wont run Carnage again on a weekend, just gets to crowded, then if someone breaks, you`ll be there all day.

lol... I think the skid plate has been put back burner to the front tow points he ripped off on Moab Rim!

Anyhow, hope the trail run went well. :D

Yeah, and I still need to get them reattached Nic! LOL

Was a good run - the guy I work with blew a hub on Guardian, then did the rest in 3WD. I made it carnage-free. We had lunch at the waterfall and watched as the groups behind us racked up the carnage... LOL

Unfortunately, both Molly and I forgot our cameras, so no pix :(

Hey its all good. I think there are enough pics of carnage to go around for a while! But sounds like ya'll had a good time, wish I could of been there. I'll just have to wait 2 weeks!

Yeah a good easy run. If we hadn't waited at waterfall to watch the carnage we likely could have run the trail in 1.25 hours! We blew through there... I dunno Carnage on the weekends isn;t so bad if you get there early... Then again with partying wheelers no one wants to get up early. *sigh*
