retarded stock leaf springs - 99 prerunner

does anyone know if their leaf springs are as retarded as mine? in the back mine sorta go up, but the bottom one goes down. the high spot of the set is over the axle. Are they retarded and do you know where i can get new leaf springs for a good price, or are they supposed to be like that?

They are supposed to be like that. The "upside down" leaf is the overload leaf. You can do the leaf pack re-build, there is a write-up in the "Cheap Tricks" section by atwinda. As far as new leaf packs go, look into Deaver or Old Man Emu, but it sounds like you have quite a bit to learn about your truck before you start messing around with your suspension.
