what are the options of matching the rear width with the 7 in wider front end...
i have a third member from a tacoma, is there a way that i could get a diamond axle, and use tundra axles and have everything fit.... that almost sounds to easy so im doubting the tundra axles fit into the tacoma third... im ignorant when it comes to this i just want them to match, any help would be awesome..
Thanks
Austin
If you have a non TRD taco, with the 8.4 diff, it will bolt up to the Tundra axle. You just need to weld on new perches. You can also use a T-100 axle.

really? sweet, i thought that i read somewhere where it wouldn't fit... yeah i have the non trd third, with 4.88s and a lockrite,
so i just need to look for a tundra housing and switch the thirds?...
what about the brakes and stuff, do those mount up as well?
thanks

If you get the axle try to get one with the parking brake, and hard lines. It will bolt right up to your truck. I put a T-100 axle on my truck. If you have stock Ubolts, you may have to get a Ubolt flip kit. Are you spring over or spring under?
PS Along with the perches, you will need to weld on shock mounts.

well eventally i want to go 62s, but right now it is bugging the hell out of me having the front that much wider then the back, when i go in the snow it pushes an extra amount of snow and doesn't track... which i believe makes it harder.
so as of now i will be going spring over untill i get the 62s and then i would go under. it would be ok to weld on the perches and the shock tabs..
right now i have 5150s and they are leaking oil like crazy, i have a pair of 7100s and i am going to up them on there for now. which should give me a decent ride with the bolt on deaver leaf pack that i have now.
thanks for the help ted. now i will keep my eye out for a tundra axle..

Not trying to hi jack the tread but I am soon to be in the same situation BUT I have a 5 lug.. Any suggestions beside a ford 9? Can Tundra or T100axles be modified to 5 lug?

If you don't use a Currie/Ford 9" I wouldn't suggest messing with the lug pattern I'd just run a different wheel out back personally.

To much of a hassel. Dont want to have to carry around 2 spairs of diffrent lug patterns bla bla... I will have to save the dough for the 9. Shit just aint cheap.
