I would like to get a few rig's together and run lower terminator, and was looking to see if any one that has been there before could lead or at least advise us on this run. i'm open as to when, on a week day or this sat 1-13, I'd like to take at least two other rigs with me. who's up for it and is it passable.

It's definately passable. I would be more than happy to take you out there, but not sure of my plans this weekend. I will get back with you later this week. If you want a real challange, run Anniconda, right off lower terminator, that would be a good run for your rig.

Thanks for the come back Nate, ya i'd like to try something with some of you guy's that have been up there before, not to sound like a complete goober, i've built my truck in the last three years to be a good exploration vehicle and, I must say, it is much more capable off-road than i am. I aint scared, i just dont have a whole lot of extreme crawling experience.
seems like all i do is work, and if i can get time away, usually there's no body a round to go out and play with (sept my self) and hell, that get old.
i went up the first two hundred yards are so, of terminator and decided mabye i should'nt try that one alone, in the middle of the week, all by my self.
best run i've been on was martinez canyon last year with T.T.O.R.A. we ran with Jason D'mello and his freind Wiat, it was great!
I dont need any one to hold my hand, so if you can set a time and place in the future, i'd like to go out and scrape, scratch, dent, bend, bump, and wheel with ya some time. and if i lay it on it's side, mabye have some one near to atleast take some pictures we can post.
thanks Kevin.

Id be up for running upper and lower terminator. I have done that trail several times and its pretty fun. Im not sure how your rig is built, but I first ran it with 33's and a 6" IFS lift with no problem. With a swap its really easy.
IM not sure if you are off during the week, but I have thursdays and fridays off. My daughters have basketball games on Sat's so it pretty much ties me up.
Let me know,

I think I will be out there either Sat or Sun. We can run Lower terminator, or better yet we can hit Predator. It is similar to Terminator but longer and with better obsticles. I am sure most will agree with me on that one. Its only a few miles further down the road. I am leaning more toward Sunday as I am helping a friend move out of my house and into an apartment on Saturday. If that works for you let me know. As always, anyone else is more than welcome to join in on the fun. I was thinking of meeting up at 8am at the Carefree highway/I-17 exit at the Chevron. Post up if you are interested. channel 7

Sorry Yogi, I can't make Thurs or Friday because of work, so I am gonna shoot for Sunday. I think most of us have the normal m-f schedule which makes it easier to wheel on the weekends. I wouldn't be opposed to a night run if you all want to do that.

I have Saturdays off too, and I dont go to work on Sunday till 4pm. So Im pretty much off all weekend too. But Saturdays until late spring I have Basketball and Softball games for the girls. And they are usually anytime from 8am till 4pm. Right during wheeling time. So unless there is no game that weekend, I cant go wheeling. IF the wheeling was out in FJ, I could go on Sunday since IM closer to home and still make it to work. But Table Mesa is too far to go wheeling, get home, and then get to work. :(
I know people are usually off on the weekends, but the guy asked if there was a day during the week that was good. So I just posted up that I was available on Thur or Fri.

Just for comparisons, are the obsticles harder than the Martinez canyon run? I don't have a large lift, but with the low gears, I can get a pretty good line.
edit: Sunday will be better for me if I can go. I work Wed - Sat. Thanks!

IMO, Both Lower Terminator and Predator are more difficult than Martinez by a fair margin. If your gonna do'm, why not run Judgement Day too? That makes for a nice afternoon of crawlin...

I have only done upper and lower Terminator. I went to run Predator once, but I slipped off a rock at the entrance and taco'd my driveshaft. What is the trail like compared to the terminators.
Im the NO BODY DAMAGE queen with my new truck. So that is my main concern.

you should be able to get thru terminator without issue. depending on which line too

It's alot more technical rocky terrain with alot of obsticals right on top of each other (very short trail) It is doable without damage as witnessed when I ran it with Nate, Shane & Grumpy.......I was the only one to get BD (picked a bad line and backed into a big undercut rock)

Personally, I wouldn't take your rig on Predator if you don't want it bent.
Predator is well named - it is one of the few trails that bit me in the ass. Tight and techinical with big rocks...unless it's been stacked out. Again. The exit from Predator is the enterance to Anihilator.

Believe me.... Im not newbie wheeler. Just trying to take it easy on the new truck. I will run trails that people say are doable without BD. I just wont run one where its very likely or mandatory to get through the trail. Lets put it this way... Axle Alley, the Rubicon and trails like that are the extent to which I want to push my new truck. But even when Im out on the trails... I hardly ever pick the easy line.

So 25% chance for body damage if you come along. NO chance if you are not there. Is that what you are saying? hehe

More like 50% if you follow my lines!!! :lmao:
In all seriousness, the only reason I took BD was because I wasn't watching where I was going (Heatstroke knows all about my trail A.D.D.! )

In my honest opinion, 90% of the body damage I have ever recieved was from being impatient, too cool to ask for a spotter, or as you say trail A.D.D. Its almost always avoidable.

Alot of times for me, I just get caught up in watching the wrong part of the truck thinking the other stuff was clear from danger.

Yogi, I know you're a very skilled wheeler - but, damn, your truck is mighty nice right now...and the fun lines on Predator can do some up high body damage.
Like "A" pillar high :D
Predator has some sweet obsticals - in fact, it used to be tougher than some of the easy Hammer trails, but it's real short. Last time I ran it (2004), it'd been heavily stacked.
If you want a fun trail with low BD potential, try Judgement day. The waterfall is a hoot. It's at the end of Lower Termiator - so you can access it from the enterance to Upper - turn right and look for a left up a creek.

Well, with good armor, you should have no problem with Predator. There is one section that you have to drag your rear bumper off a rock to get through. However, I have never had BD on Predator, with the exception of a huge dint behine my driver door from an optional line. If you take the easy lines you can get through without incident.
Here is the part I am talking about with the bumper. Other than that section its pretty much incident free.
