The truck comes with an odd sized tire (275/70/16's). I would stick with that same size and get a good all-terrain. Both Goodyear and Bridgestone make tires that will fit. Not sure what you have now, but I believe stock you got Michelin LTX H rated tires. Those are a pretty good street tire.
I recently put 285's of the Goodyear MTR flavor on my 94. No lift (yet) but it stuffs fine stock. I really saw no change in performance. Plus, the 285 also fits in the stock spare location. Money well spent imho.
I had 285/75 on mine when it was stock. No rubbing. I know a guy in PHX that had 315/75 on his at stock height. The tires fit OK, but he did get some rubbing,
