View Full Version : A/C Compressor Help

My A/C compressor in my 99' Taco has a hole in it, Stealership wants over $800.00 to fix it. Looking for a cheaper alternative, I am not mechanically savvy and I hear a "do it yourself job" could be dangerous because of the R-134. Anybody know of anyplace in the Denver Metro area that could do it cheaper? Thanx in advance. :)

if it has a hole in it then they are probably going to replace it.... google crusher auto in denver and it should give you a junkyard's number. they had my PS pump, so chances are they might have a new a/c compressor for ya. if it has the hole in it then all of the refridgerant is already gone. get the new pump in and then take it to a shop to have them charge it for ya...
