Well...that really depends upon where we setup camp Thursday, but it will more than likely be where it was last year, meaning, you will want to go "WAAY back" to the left for the quiet zone! :D

Yeah definately a trail I led, yeah definately. It's Box Canyon Road (exit road of Elvis and bypass of Box Canyon) headed west towards Sandman Wash/Road, yeah Sandman.

Rather than drag the 5th wheel all the way up to PCT and then back down to FJ we'll likely just hang out down there. What time do you think folks will start showing up on Thursday? I wouldn't mind being there early but I don't want to set up in the wrong (loud) area. Anyone wanna show up early?

Hey Rex - I'm pretty sure some people will be out there Wed and most all else will be there Thurs, me included. You're best bet will be to go "way left" after you enter the campsite.

Do I still need to call you? Been super busy. I'll be out mid day Thursday. The east end of camp is where we (the noisy group) plan on being. Just remember, go down Cottonwood Canyon road, Left at the pipe line road, past BIG dip, should be the next major clearing on left with access road/trail. East on US 60 to US79. Head south on US79 to Cottonwood Canyon Road, which is about 5.5 miles down on your left. Turn left on Cottonwood Canyon Road. Then left on the pipe line road. You'll see some people out there on the left past a BIG dip in the road.

Last year Friday night was pretty rowdy. With so many of the Nor-Cal guys coming down, I doubt there will be any shortage of Sobe bombs either night. The big group bonfire is always a fun time.
