So I have been wanting to order a bumper and winch.. I really really like the Shrockworks.. But 5-6 Week Delivery. So my alternative is an ARB..
Opinions?

I have an ARB on my FJC, like it, but don't love it. Looks like the Schrockworks incorporates more than the ARB, sorta like the new Demello rear bumper coming out for my rig. Wait and get the one you want!

All Pro is another option.

I've read that others have been waiting months, not weeks, for their Shrockworks stuff. But reviews have been very good.
It's personal taste I guess. I like the looks of the ARB - less "flashy" than the others, but I'll acknowledge that it lacks all the functionality, has worse approach angles, and doesn't give as much clearance for the front tires.

I thought about the Allpro. But I really don't like the nekkedness of it.
I think you guys are right.. I will have to wait for the Shrockworks.

Holy shnikes! For $979+ shipping you could have a custom one made locally!
(mine was less than that, and it's welded airtight!)

Yeah You will see both Troy and My bumper done by All Phase - custom and these are BOMB proof. Don't like ARB because it seriously decreases your approach angle (though it does look cool) (Used to have an ARB on My old rodeo) You will need to sacrifice coolness and bulk factor for aproach angle somewhat - But I think Troy's bumper is a great example of a happy medium!

Heads up. Shrockworks stuff if great stuff but...... 4-6 weeks can be up to 6-9 months (sorry Jim). He is so backed up from what I hear. If you don't mind waiting, the Shrockworks stuff is worth it.

There is Irbis. http://irbisoffroad.com/bumpers_front-link.asp
You may want to check with Slee OffRoad. They have some ARBs in stock. I don't know what part of Wy you in but Slee is here in Golden.

I dont like the ARB its kind of a parkbench. Irbis doesn't make anything for an 06.
Thanks though
I think I am goign to wait and have a custom one made..

Sorry to hijack, but if you folks were going to get a rear custom bumper + tire carrier, where would you go? The talk of bumpers reminded me.. sorry.
I'd be willing to travel almost anywhere in Colorado to get it done right.

I think AllPhase did an awesome job on mine and Molly's front bumpers, but they are SLAMMED now - it would be a while before they could get to it I would think.

I have talked to Dave at ALLPHASE a lot over the last few months and have NOTHING but GREAT things to say about them.
Ill probley get banned here also for voicing my opinion, but if your wanting a "custom: bumper, look at what others have, and "use"
Talk to the people that have custom stuff, (not the web wheelers)heres a few links to check out.
Armorology (http://www.armorology.com/)
Rockware (http://www.rockware.net/custom/)
and remember, you get what you pay for..
hope you get what "you" want....

Note that if you DO go custom, just about everywhere will require the truck to be there while they build it. Armorology and Rockware are down in Colorado Springs, AllPhase is in Longmont.

very good point, sorry I forgot to mention that.

I've always liked this bumper with the front receiver built in... I am likely going to frame and skin a bumper similar to this for my truck.
But I am probably going to prototype and build it myself!

Armorology is the Tire Carrier rear bumper specialist...look thru the link and see what you should look for...even if you don't go there!

+1 for rockware
They did custom front a rears for a friend of mine's runner.
They had great angles, looked good, and held up to beatings

I agree, and this is starting to become a habit (troy and I agreeing lol)
but I say go custom, this way you will get EXACTLY what "you" want, not something thats weaker and something that everyone else has :D
just my thoughts

I have seen both Rockware and Armorology in person, and can say that both are HIGHLY recommended. I have spoken with Jed at Armorology several times, and have been more than impressed with his willingness to help.
Both companies will make a bumper that will take all sorts of abuse, and come back asking for more. It is WELL worth both the down time on the truck, and the price tag.

I was going for Schrockworks but i wasnt aware of such a wait. For the price like Troy said a custom might be better. Im thinking Armorology for mine. But i live on the front range now and have a motorcycle for transportation. So i can leave my truck in CO springs. I dont know prodigy im in the same boat as you i want one but cant find what i want. The nakedness of the ALLPro makes it look whimpy. There is a guy in glenwood that i have seen that has one. Nah. Not that great in my opinion.
