I have spent so many miles in the seat of my '83 that I don't think the Heep will ever catch up. That was one tough son of a gun. :wipes a slight tear from eye:

How do I get more smilies?

I feel so shitty for not calling, I was halfway back to Austin by the time I remembered to call you, I had just bought a new Kayak, and was too anxious to get back to the lake with it, I know like a damn kid, all I could think of was getting to the lake, I was a man on a mission, I will be heading down there soon, I will take you up on that offer for a place to crash, if it is still open after I stood you up, thanks again for the offer though!

It's gotta be him- what are the odds? This is weird- it's like I transferred to another High School & am now in college running into the old gang- everyone looks different, there's different groups, different classes.. it's been a little disorienting for me:)

It is a standard cab. This truck was on E-Bay last month. I needed the motor for my 95 4Runner (my #6 cylinder is running 90lbs.). Tim and me made the trek to houston to pick it up the week before Thanksgiving. If you go to E-Bay the pictures might still be there.

Yeah i have me an 83' awaiting the install of AOR springs sitting in my room, and the 14" Bilsteins to go in. I'm in the process of putting in my 5.29's, Long Feild Birfields, Detroit rear, loc-rite front and a buddy is making me a ridiculously strong cross over set up he has on his 86 SAS. My marlin dual t-case adapter is some where in the works of being ordered and i plan to run 38x14.50x15 TSL/SX's or 39x13.50x15 IROK's. OH yeah i just bought a complete EFI system from a Celica for $150.00 well minus the Bosch fuel pump and wiring harness that i need to order. I cant rely on damn Webber carb i have. I should've kept the stock carb for the troubles the Webber gives me. Yeah it's been a 2 yr project so far.LOL. And going............

My sons truck got clobbered by a deer, he needs a bed and a driver side fender. (missed the cab) We might be interested in picking up those parts. Let me know if you are going to part it. E-mail me off board.

Offroading in a blinding rainstorm at the age of 19, and dropped the left front tire off the edge of about a 14' tall ledge running parallel to the trail....that'll do it every time.

I have an 83' I got from the a guy I work with who bought the truck new in 83'. I was able to get the truck for free. It's the coolest looking old yota I have seen. It was bought brand new with a rebel flag covering the whole hood with stars and blue and white stripes going down the sides. It called the rebel 4x4 addition came with a rollbar and a brushguard. The motor recently crapped out on me I bought a 302 a c6 trans and a 205 transfer case. I have allready got my motor mounts and I'am about to order my new leaf springs and a 3" body lift so the trans doesn't hit the floor of the truck.

Oh no man get that thing out of here! j/k lol, But seriously, I think the first gens, pre 84 are so badass... the 84+ are too but the older ones have the body look going for them. I have an 86 thats ok... and my buddy has an 83 that is a pretty badass trail rig with a flatbed and lots o lift with 35's and lockers its cool to watch him haul ass around in his short tall little pickup that sounds like it going to explode cause of the "custom" glass pack exhaust. I love it..
