I was at allphase offroad in longmont today looking for a cost to weld up :welder: some sliders when I get them. First he quoted me $360. after that, I offered to do the prep and mockup myself and he said after that the price would be only about $100 if I did that. Neither of these estimates sound right to me. what should I be expecting? I was thinking around $100 per side for a total of $200....

second thought, anyone here who can weld em up for me?!

Dave is dead on. If you do the prep the estimate should be around 100-150. He has done a ton of work for me. I trust my trruck and life to those guys and they do some of the best welding around. I don't think you know what kind of stress I put on my protection and all the welds they have done for me have held beautifully. IMHO it is worth anything to have a good welder do sliders and All Phase are the tops!

I guess I'll take em up on it then and decide which sliders to buy! Ive used allphase before (have their engine skid, ordered parts through them) so I'll let them know when I get my tubes.

Well do you want kick outs? Also since you are welding on go for the best weld on ones vs bolt on.

Mine are All Pro. I love mine and the kick outs. (Don't like any mechanichal all pro stuff - but body armor from them is fine)...

I would REALLY check out the CBI Fab bolt on ones. I helped a guy put some on when I was in Ohio, and they are REALLY nice.

I am just about to order my sliders and was wondering about where and how much it would cost to get them welded on as well. It sounds like thats a good place to go even though that was more than i was hoping to spend. I am going to get these sliders http://4xinnovations.com/pages/guarding/sliders.htm . i haven't seen them up close yet but i heard they do good work there so im pretty confident they will work nice. the price is good also.

Ive looked at those too but just havent seen any reviews or opinions of them. Ive seen lots of good reviews of wabs on YT. maybe we could get enough other people to try a group buy either place....doubtful but an idea.

Im not in a rush but do want to get them before holy cross so I might be able to try to keep up.

The easiest thing to do is just to find a friend to help you. Most serious wheelers will have a welder. Pay with a six pack and a bbq, and return a favor when needed.
