Started the process today. Did the oil pan swap and ordered all the parts mentioned in a different post for the Taco V6. The dip stick guide was way different then the stock one nd was not used also the union would not work. Any problems using the stock guide tube and the T100 dip stick? The oil pick up and the oil pan were the only parts that fit perfect. Anyone else run into this?
Thanks for the help

Im in the process of figuring out the 2.7 oil pan swap. I dont see how the dipstick guide works. Mine needs an extra bolt to hold the strainer which is on backorder from Toyota. Will

What year is your truck? Somewhere along 2000 or so, Toyota stopped drilling the extra hole in the block. The T100 dipstick tube guide bolts right up, although it's not readily apparent. You kinda have to feed it through the motor mount. There is a blank plate bolted up where it needs to mount.

i ran into the same thing so i just left the stock guide and dipstick alone and just cut the tip of the dipstick right on the first line for low oil. i got a 2.7 so i don't know if is different on the 3.4s.
good luck and have fun.

I know this is an old post, but atleast I have been searching.
I am in the process of SAS'n a 04 V6 tacoma and have ordered all of the parts for the T100 oil pan swap. What side of the engine would the plug be for the dip stick guide if mine has a plug?
