What do you guys think? I'm obviously a novice compared to most of you, but I'd like to hit a trail or 2 sometime down the road and would like the protection.

Is this a rediculous thought or would it be a smart thing to do?

Any input is welcome.

I put sliders on so I can use a highlift jack because good luck changing a tire with a bottle jack in the middle of the desert or if you lift your truck like me

One thing to keep in mind is that although sliders protect your rig from damage, they perform a more important function, hence the name" Sliders". They allow you to slide over rocks so you don't get hung up. If you wheel a two wheel drive truck they could be the single best mod next to a locker. I say go for it man.

Thanks for the thumbs up on this project guys.

I wouldn't want to look a fool out on the trails.;)

Sliders are more of a "slider" on a 4x4 truck, on a 2wd truck, they are more of a pivoting point going no where... Or on a 4x4, they are the part that take Tacamas 30 minutes per truck to overcome in the squeeze on Elvis:D
